Penthouse Dahktari is a true beach front high-rise (10th floor) condominium with 3 bedrooms plus a kids sleeping loft and 3 bathrooms. You'll enjoy views of the beach, the jetties, the bridge, the bay, the channel and the Friday evening fireworks (during the summer months).
The condo complex is within 50 yards of the beach, and boasts one of the largest heated pools on the island. A large grassy area is available for those wishing to take in a game of croquet, soccer or volleyball. The penthouse floor has only 3 condos and the complex offers 24 hour security. The Aquarius Condominium is located towards the southern end of the island and most local shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance.
Designed with an assortment of unique architectural elements, the penthouse is in a class by itself. A number of antique doors, 15 foot ceilings, chandeliers, plant ledges, special lighting, marble floors, granite countertops and an open loft are just a few of the unique elements incorporated in the design.
Totaling 1800 square feet, the floor plan is a 3 bedroom, 3 bath plus a kids sleeping loft. The space can accommodate up to 12 people.

This property is spacious, well-equipped, and perfect for a large family. Not only is it on the beach with some of the best views SPI has to offer, it’s also a great location within walking distance of restaurants, etc.

This condo was spacious and well equipped for our family. The views were phenomenal with 3 different balconies to catch sunrises and sunsets. We appreciated the many offerings such as beach chairs, umbrella, volleyball, etc. We met several other owners and all were friendly and ready with great tips for enjoying the island.

Very nice condo. The pool was not kept warm was a disappointment though. Also be on the 10th floor was a little scary if there would of been a fire because they had the doors to stairs locked when we tried them so no exit except the elevator.

Perfectly close to restaurants and shopping while still being quiet at night. Even the grocery store is within willing distance! The loft is a tight squeeze but the teens made it home and they had their own bathroom upstairs.

This was our first time to South Padre Island and the condo was absolutely perfect for our family. We had 11 of us ranging in ages 3yrs old and up, the upstairs loft was perfect for the 4 teenagers we had. The spaces bedrooms on the main level were perfect for the rest of us. To be able to open up the balcony door and sit outside and listen to the waves crashing and watching the sun come up was picture perfect. Everyone at the property was very friendly and even before we arrived everyone at Frankie was easy to work with and very communicative. It felt like this was our 100th time there not our first. We will definitely be back and be (hopefully) staying in the same unit again.

Great for extended families or large groups. We had 12 people in our group that ranged from 81-12 years of age. Place is on the beach with a private entrance to the beach, around the corner from the strip, restaurants, grocery store, convenience stores, etc. Also has a nice pool, grills for cooking out, exercise equipment, private parking lot. The place had all we needed, towels, appliances, dishes, beach umbrellas, boogie board, etc. Definitely a great place to stay.

We stayed for 4 nights in the off season and had a wonderful time. The location was perfect. The condo views were amazing plus we had more than enough room to just stretch out and relax. The owners are 100% dedicated to customer service and were in constant contact with us to make sure we had a great vacation experience. We will definitely stay here again!

It was a nice place to stay. Only complaint is with the added tax, cleaning fees, host fees at the end of booking It was overpriced. The upstairs loft is for shorter people. Pictures made it look bigger than it was.

We took our children and grandchildren on this trip and had plenty of room for everyone. The provided loaner beach towels, beach chairs and beach toys were a bonus! Owners are super responsive to any questions.

This property was stunning! So much space , and everything was newly renovated. We loved the three balconies, and the views were spectacular. We were able to cook for our large family (12 of us) with enough cookware , plates , utensils , etc…. Including a beautiful park area with 3 grills. Every bedroom had a TV with access to streaming channels. Rent this condo ! We loved it

Perfect place for our family gathering. Six adults and two children had plenty of room and the views from the three balconies were amazing. The island weather was sunny and warm during the day and jacket weather at night. Even if it would have rained the whole time, the penthouse would have been the place to stay out of the weather and still enjoy our long weekend. We will definitely consider renting for our next visit.

We very much enjoyed our stay over Labor Day weekend. From the moment we booked the communication with the owners was amazing. We knew exactly what to pack and not. The home has everything you need and is in close proximity to the local grocery store. The views are absolutely amazing. The space was perfect for our group. We loved having all the beach chairs, umbrellas, toys etc already there and available for use. We look forward to a return stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Penthouse Dahktari! This was our first visit to South Padre Island & The Aquarius’ complex central, beachfront location made for quick & easy access to everything on the Island & in Port Isabel. The building is old, but extremely well maintained & lovingly cared for. Penthouse Dahktari is eclecticly decorated in a combination of modern functional & Tex Mex kitsch that played very well over our 3-week stay in the Condo with family. The views to the East, South & West are simply spectacular! Penthouse Dahktari is well stocked with condo, kitchen & beach amenities. Everything is in very good to excellent condition. Furniture & beds are solidly built & comfortable. We highly recommend Penthouse Dahktari for short or long vacation rentals!

We loved this 10th floor Penthouse. Everything was perfect. 3 bedrooms plus a kids' loft. 3 bathrooms , full size washer and dryer. Beautiful kitchen with granite countertop with bar stools, huge dining table that's big enough to seat a large group. The decks with chairs makes it so easy to watch the sun come up over the gulf or to see the large ships and fishing boats. Walkdown to the beach with beach chairs, and umbrellas, toys, for the kids to dig in the sand and a cooler with wheels for your refreshments. This PENTHOUSE HAS EVERYTHING.

We had an amazing stay! The property was perfect, with beautiful decorations. The kitchen was stocked with everything you may need to cook a full meal. The living room was big enough to accommodate the six of us. The bedrooms were nice, with comfortable beds, dressers, and nightstands. The loft was a hit with my girls, they loved it! We enjoyed the three balconies, we had a 360 view of the island, and being on the top floor, allowed us to enjoy a peaceful view of the beach. The owners provided lots of nice and clean beach towels, and everything that you need for the beach: chairs, mats, toys, buggy boards and a big cooler. Pool and grounds were well maintained and the 24 hour security was a plus. We were a family of 6 including two 80+ grandmas, and the penthouse and the building itself were very accommodating. The owners were very attentive to everything and easy to reach. Overall we had a great vacation and the house was perfect for our family.

Awesome experience! The pictures do not lie -- this condo is incredible! Fabulous master suite, spacious common areas, high ceilings give it a true penthouse feel, and everything is nicely appointed and tastefully decorated -- overall a terrific experience! Cold A/C, high def TV's, mini chef's kitchen that is well-furnished, and everything is clean and modern. This is probably the nicest and best maintained unit in a somewhat middle-aged building. The common areas were a little dated but in high demand nevertheless -- especially on the weekends (i.e, outdoor grills/ picnic tables, hot tub/ pool). The few complaints we could mention -- and really these are minor and aimed more at the property not the condi itself... no golf carts allowed in the gated parking area (that was a bummer), the luggage carts are old and rickety, the on-site property management was not very helpful, polite, or particularly experienced in facilities or hospitality management -- but my guess is that is the norm for South Padre in general -- not a lot of building management or hospitality talent to draw on. But don't let that stop you -- overall, Acquarius Penthouse #2 fits the bill and is highly recommended for a womderful large group/ extended family experience.

Our stay was enjoyable, though we likely won’t return. Pros: *Sleep Number mattresses! The beds were very comfortable, and the bedrooms were well equipped with extra linens and pillows. *the location is great and the beach is wide and clean *the condo is huge and comfortable for large groups, decor is pretty. The loft was perfect for kids, and the bedrooms have lots of closet and storage space. The master bedroom and bath is beautiful and comfortable. *the condo is well equipped with beach toys, cutlery, everything you need to cook *the washer and dryer were really convenient with a high capacity *the balconies afford beautiful views of the beach and bay. We enjoyed sitting with our coffee or cocktail. *the staff in the building are really nice and helpful. The pool and grounds of the building are really clean and well-kept. Plenty of parking space with security gates. Cons: *there was horrible roach infestation when we arrived. We called to complain and the condo was sprayed the very next day, which helped a lot. We still had to clean everything we took out of the drawers and cupboards, and still saw some small roaches in the morning and evening. For the amount we spent per night, it seemed like a huge inconvenience and pretty gross. This was the deal-breaker for us regarding a return trip. *there is no real boardwalk to the beach. They’ve laid down mats across the footpath, or you can go through the parking lot and out the automatic gate to access the public walkway. Dragging coolers or wagons is a pain. *the AC in the large master bedroom smells very strongly of mildew. Perhaps this gets better as the season continues and the AC is used more frequently. *the drains are slow, and the water pressure is terrible. That probably has a lot to do with being on the top floor of an older building.
