We recently stayed at this Tahoe Keys property. The location is nice, the neighborhood is quiet, and we enjoyed the views, pool table, and kitchen/family room area. Unfortunately, our experience fell short of what we expected from a property marketed as a "Luxury Tahoe Keys retreat."At 1:00 p.m. on the day of check-in, we received a text that the downstairs bedroom carpets "may be wet" from being cleaned. We reasonably expected they would be slightly damp. Instead, when we arrived, all three downstairs bedroom carpets were saturated and squishy underfoot, wet enough to soak through our socks.We reported the issue immediately and sent a video showing the condition. We were told the carpets would be dry the next morning, but they remained saturated throughout our three-night stay, significantly affecting all three downstairs bedrooms.Although management responded to our messages, no one came to assess the carpets, provide drying equipment, or offer another on-site solution. Instead, the responses focused on explaining why the carpets had been cleaned rather than addressing the fact that they remained saturated throughout our stay.For us, the biggest disappointment was not that an unexpected maintenance issue occurred. It was that, after reporting it immediately, no meaningful effort was made to resolve it while we were there. Future guests should know not only what we experienced, but also how it was handled.
