About this property

Garden Mountain Home

  • Escape to a spacious mountain home tucked into the quiet, tree-shaded Gardner Mountain neighborhood on South Lake Tahoe's west side. This 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom, two-story house comfortably sleeps the whole crew and offers the best of both worlds! A peaceful forested setting among the pines, with quick access to the lake's prettiest beaches, world-class trails, and everyday conveniences just minutes away. With a fully fenced backyard, a sunny deck, a cozy gas fireplace, and a chef-worthy kitchen, it's an ideal home base for a family vacation in every season.

This home has comfortable sleeping and dining for a family of 7 adults, 9 all together if children ages 13 and under are included. Parking for 3 vehicles - there is room for 2 in the garage and 1 in the driveway. This applies 24/7.

At the heart of the home is a welcoming upstairs great room where everyone naturally gathers — settle in by the glowing gas fireplace with a good book, put on a movie on the big-screen TV, or pull out the board games for a night of laughter around the coffee table. The open layout means the cook is never far from the conversation, and the spacious, well-equipped kitchen makes preparing family meals a pleasure, whether it's pancakes before a day on the trails or a big dinner with everyone pitching in. There's plenty of room to linger over coffee in the morning and gather again over dessert at night.

When the weather's warm, step out onto the balcony to dine among the pines, fire up the BBQ, and let the kids in the fully fenced backyard while you relax with a glass of wine. Downstairs, a comfortable den offers a quiet retreat — a spot to tuck away with a puzzle, let the little ones have their own space, or check in from home if you need to. From sunrise to the last stars of the evening, this is a home designed for the moments that bring families together.

    About the Area:
Tucked into the quiet, tree-shaded neighborhood on South Lake Tahoe's west side, this home offers the best of both worlds — a peaceful retreat among the pines with quick access to everything that makes Tahoe special. You're less than a mile from the "Y," the town's everyday hub for grocery runs, shopping, coffee, and casual dining, so stocking up or grabbing a bite is always easy. Step right out the door and onto the neighborhood's trail network: Tahoe Mountain is a local favorite for hiking and mountain biking, with routes for every level winding through the forest just minutes away. The paved South Tahoe Bikeway is also close by, connecting you to the lakeshore mostly off the road.

Some of Tahoe's most beautiful beaches are right around the corner. Pope, Baldwin, and the dog-friendly Kiva Beach all sit just a short drive or bike ride away, with long stretches of soft sand and famously clear water. Nearby Camp Richardson and the historic Tallac estates add lakeside dining, a marina, and summer arts events to the mix. For a quieter escape, picturesque Fallen Leaf Lake is just over the hill — a stunning spot for paddling, swimming, and trailheads into the backcountry — and the world-famous Emerald Bay and Eagle Falls are an easy outing from here. Whether you're chasing alpine adventure or a lazy afternoon on the beach, this is the perfect launch point for it all.

This is an excellent rental property for a family stay, we had a party of 7 and felt we had more than enough space. The location is also close to all the South Lake Tahoe favorites. Would stay again!
