This was an amazing cabin! The esthetic was so warm and cozy and peaceful! The view outside the master bedroom allowed you to catch the sunrise every morning! The hosts were informative and responsive prior too, during and even after checkout! We can’t wait to visit again!
Very nice cabin with a lovely front porch to see the sun rise and enjoy quiet time. Perfect location for visiting Pagosa Springs, Lake City and Creede. Well stocked for cooking if you want to eat in. Cabin was exactly as it was described in the listing.
The cabin was perfect. Everything is in good repair and well maintained, beautiful decor and very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with lots of extras. WiFi, smart TV and no water tank system were all big pluses for us. Would definitely stay here again.
Cute little cabin in a quiet location. Wasn't quite as secluded as I thought, but still very nice. We didn't spend a lot of time there anyway. So much to do in the area!
Great cabin for 2 adults and our dog. We loved sitting on the front porch watching the sunrise over the beautiful Colorado landscape. Peaceful, quiet neighborhood, great place to be when exploring several CO mining towns. The views of the sky and the milky way are INCREDIBLE from this property. Everything was clean and we felt very comfortable staying here.
My wife and I really enjoyed the cabin and the beautiful 70 degree weather. The Rio Grande River was just a short walk from the cabin, and the Aspen foliage was glorious. We saw deer and wildlife while sipping coffee sitting on the front porch. The Host, Karen, was wonderful to work with and the communication was excellent.
Stayed three nights.. expected to hike and visit Creede/Lake City.. Random spring winter storm hit dropping 18” of snow. Lost electricity a bit but Host was on it! Spent next two days by fire and porch fire pit , reading. Awesome! Very well appointed cabin. Great for the two of us. 5 stars!!
Pretty, peaceful cabin is great basecamp to explore South Fork
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It's clean and nicely furnished, decorated and updated. It has comfortable beds (two in the upstairs bedroom and one in the main floor bedroom). The kitchen is well-stocked. It's in a quiet area where you can see wildlife and have great stargazing but yet it's easy and convenient to get to all the great things to do in the South Fork area. We had fun hiking at Penitente Canyon, Big Meadows and Deep Creek. We had a great time railbiking with Revolution Rail Co. from South Fork into the Coller Wildlife Mgmt. Area (do the longer ride - it's worth it). The scenery is gorgeous on the drive up to Creede and Lake City. We had one great day trip to Great Sand Dunes, Zapata Falls and Monte Vista and another beautiful day trip through Wolf Creek Pass to Pagosa Springs to soak in the hot springs. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this cabin again and I would love to visit South Fork again since there's so much to do.
Just as described in VRBO. Perfect basecamp location. We were celebrating our 28th anniversary by visiting the area. Cabin is well appointed and the kitchen is exceptional with any and all items you could need. Nice to have WIFI. We went to Pagosa Springs, Creed and Lake City. Although a lot of businesses have closed for the season the drives were outstanding with the beautiful cottonwood trees glowing, mountains and rivers. We saw mule deer does and bucks, RM sheep and the scampy little chipmunks! NO BEARS oe ELK!!! Planned to fish at Million Reservoir but hubby took a tumble on our way down to the lake and our trip was immediateky cut short. Thankfully no broken bones but he has a few souveniors on his body! All is good and we enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Thank you for sharing. Be sure to visit Basecamp Sweets (their lemon blueberry mini loaf is SCRUMPTIOUS)
My husband and I plus our small dog found this cabin/home to be very clean, well appointed, and organized. The kitchen lacked nothing in appliances, dishes, and serving items. That was important since we made several meals. There were an abundance of household supplies and towels for our daily needs. There was a new cooling unit that cooled the entire cabin. That was important on those warmer, sunny days.
We were able to walk our dog peacefully without worry from vehicles since there was little to no traffic. There were other vacation houses around and some may have had permanent occupants but it was noticeably quiet and peaceful all the time. The homes are spaced appropriately and there are many areas not built upon. I loved this rustic area that backs up to the national forest.
The location makes it easy to drive to the main highway and access town. We were able to have a wonderful time catching trout at Big Meadows Reservoir. The drive and the water was beautiful. The fishing was very good.
We’d like to come back and would eagerly stay at this vacation home where the owner easily communicates and answers any questions you have about the property.
Great cabin to explore the area. Karen was an excellent host. She gave great suggestions for places to eat and explore. Excellent response times. Cute cabin that was we stocked with necessities. We would stay again if we make a trip back to the area!
We had a great time. The weather was hotter and dryer than we expected. We would have liked the loft to have better air conditioning, but we are from Oklahoma where we run air conditioners from March to October or November. Overall, a great stay.
