"We stayed the week before Christmas in a lovely room with fireplace. The house exuded holiday charm and history. Breakfast is beautifully presented and excellent. Our bed was comfortable. "The staff were absolutely wonderful. We came in with three families arriving there the 3rd of July with a same day reservation, and they they got all of us on the same floor next to each other. "The beautiful pictures of this hotel were not the reality. The outside was falling apart and the main common area was torn apart. Very dirty and unkept. Overlooking that, we checked in and the first room we were given on the 8th floor had, not old looking, blood smeared on two walls. We requested a different room and were given one on the 1st floor which was covered in mold with the bathroom ceiling falling in and a terrible smell. Decided not to stay and asked for a refund. After some debate, the desk staff tried to say we had to check out within an hour of checking in to get a refund, which it was under an hour, we did get a refund and left. Nothing nice to say about this place except that the front staff was overall very polite and accommodating to our refund request."

"We have stayed here before, and it was a great experience. However, our second time not as good. I feel like the cleanliness could be better in such a high priced and nice downtown facility. Bathroom floors looked dirty, and one of the two beds was very creaky every time you moved on it. The toilet seat had been tightened crooked so you were sitting on the underneath part if you sat on the toilet. However, the beds felt very clean and the large window is very nice on a high floor."

"The breakfast spread was excellent; the server kept the food areas clean and filled the trays when needed. Great service, friendly staff, and great food and drinks at the bar. The room was clean upon arrival, bathroom just needed newer towels and bathtub."

"Bathroom space it TINY, plenty of room in the room they could have made the bathroom bigger. Door barely misses the toliet and hits the shower curtain when open. Barely 2 ft space to get ready in front of sink because toliet takes remaining floor area. Pool is NOT open and hasn't been for years despite pictures showing it is. Workout room very large but missing all dumbells but 5 and 35#, both treadmills broken, no water or cleaning wipes. Breakfast was decent and area very clean. Staff except for one of the cleaning ladies were very nice and helpful. Hotel could be 5 stars if they maintained the areas mentioned above. Actual room, bedding, bed, towels were nice."
