Ride high above Charlotte Amalie in a cable car and enjoy breathtaking views across the harbour and downtown area.
Skyride to Paradise Point transports passengers to a height of more than 700 feet (213 metres) above sea level. Climb inside one of the cabins and marvel at the views through the spacious window. Take in a panorama that encompasses downtown and the harbour while drinking a delicious cocktail at Paradise Point.
Escape the busy streets of the islands’ capital with a quiet and smooth ride on this modern tramway. Opened in 1994, the Skyride runs for just under a mile taking approximately 5 minutes to reach its final destination.
Ascend the tree-covered terrain of Flag Hill and observe cruise ships manoeuvring in the deep, blue water of the port. The higher you get, the more spectacular the views become. At the summit, you’ll be able to see across the lush forests and golden beaches of St. Thomas. On a clear day, several of the neighboring islands, such as Hassell and Water islands and occasionally even Puerto Rico, are also visible.
If your knees are starting to feel a little wobbly, have a seat at the nearby restaurant. Sip on a refreshing soft drink or, if you are hankering for something stronger, try a sweet banana daiquiri.

The Skyride to Paradise Point departs from Havensight on the east side of the bay in Charlotte Amalie. There is a fee to ride the cable car, which operates only on days when cruise ships are in port. Consider timing your visit to coincide with sunset.
