"There was no smoke alarm in the room"

"I would recommend Carla’s place to anyone traveling through the area. Carla her self checked my friend and i in late in the evening. She stayed to make sure our tv worked and told us some cool places near by to check out. The room was perfect for two people just needing a place to stay. Beautiful sunrise view, nice patio to enjoy coffee. Horse shoe and cornhole games in the yard. Refrigerator, coffee, and even a microwave. What really stood out and what would bring us back, is how accommodating Carla was. We woke up to a flat tire in the morning and with it being on a weekend, no place around was able to help. Carla was understanding and told us to stay as long as we needed past check out untill we could get help to get us back on the road safely! "

"Amazing Stay at a Serene Lake Superior Retreat! We recently stayed at a lake house near Lake Linden, nestled right on the shores of Lake Superior, and it was an unforgettable experience! The location is perfect—secluded enough to enjoy peace and quiet but close to local amenities and the charming town of Lake Linden. The house itself was immaculate, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The large windows provided breathtaking views of the lake, especially during sunrise. We loved spending our mornings sipping coffee on the deck and evenings by the cozy firepit. The kitchen had all the essentials for cooking, and we appreciated the little thoughtful touches like board games and a list of local hotspots to check out. One of the highlights was the private access to the lake. Whether you're into kayaking, fishing, or just lounging by the water, this spot is ideal. We even spotted some wildlife and took advantage of nearby hiking trails. The fall colors were just popping out, making it a perfect getaway for nature lovers. Overall, this lake house was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. Whether you're looking to relax, explore the great outdoors, or just enjoy the beauty of Lake Superior, I highly recommend this place. We'll definitely be back!"

"Property was as advertised. Rustic and a lot of time went into all the bear nick nacks and bear themed items around the cabin. I would love to have this place. The highway can be a little noisy at times as other people have stated. But I signed up knowing it was there. Beach area has concrete steps that are uneven getting to beach. Just adds to the charm."

"Our family had the most incredible summer finale on "the ocean" making endless core memories! Cannot say enough about this wonderful property and its hosts - it's the kind of gem you secretly don't want to share with others while also wishing everyone the opportunity to experience it. My sister and I have been adventuring in the UP since we were little, and it was such a joy to bring our children and spouses up for a full week of fun in the sun. The weather was perfect and the one night that a storm rolled in, we had front row tickets to the most impressive lightning over the water we'd ever seen. We hiked the nearby Hungarian Falls one day (kid-friendly), but otherwise stayed onsite for endless play and relaxation on the beach, enjoying the many water toys provided, including kayaks, paddle boards, and lily pad. The property itself has everything you need and more, with plenty of space, fully equipped kitchen, quality linens and furnishings, many thoughtful extras, and a "lake life" vibe that immediately invites you to embrace vacay mode. Ann and Roger are fabulous, attentive hosts who genuinely want to ensure you have the best stay. A huge thank you to them for the beautiful experience they've curated. We are already dreaming of our return next summer!!"

"First, this "cabin" is nicer than my home! It is beautiful inside, well furnished with quality furniture, and has everything you need to make your stay perfect. Even has a jet tub in the master suite. Everything about the property is magnificent. The host is exceptional, and she made sure we had everything we needed, responded VERY quickly to emails and texts, and is super easy to work with. When we head back north again, we will plan on booking to stay at this property again. Literally perfect in every way!"
