34 State is simply a gorgeous 18th century (?) home furnished and decorated with impeccable period style! Tasteful and elegant guest suites, great linens, wonderful help-yourself amenities in a thoughtfully stocked pantry. All of this steps away from the storybook lakefront village of Skaneateles. Just a delight for a weary traveler!
Enjoyed a lovely early fall weekend in Skaneateles to celebrate my birthday; a thoughtful gift from my husband. Beside the beauty of the village, 34 State Boutique Hotel was a stand-out destination. The perfect blend of a BEAUTIFUL historic home with modern amenities and touches of whimsy. Katie, the owner, pulls it all together with a completely cozy vibe. Thank you Katie. Maybe next time we can sit on the porch (I've always loved rocking on porches) for coffee (delish) and you can tell us about the history of your quaint home and your journey to creating such a special place. 💛
My husband and I throughly enjoyed our stay at 34 State. The historic house is absolutely beautiful and maintained to perfection. Skaneateles is a short walk away for shops, restaurants and parks on the lake.
Amazing rooms, generous amenities (from fresh orange juice in the pantry, to access to a variety of wine and cocktail glasses, to complementary Perrier in the room), excellent property in beautiful neighborhood within walking distance of everything in Skaneateles.
Beautifully restored mansion with all the comforts of home. Self check in was easy, breakfast and snacks available anytime in the kitchen. Awesome espresso machine for yummy cappuccinos:). Short walk to Main Street with many nice restaurants to chose from. We’ll be back!
Katie is a fantastic host and offers a beautiful home to call your own when you're visiting Skaneateles. The location is perfect for walks around the neighborhoods or along the streets of town with shops, restaurants and parks overlooking the lake. Katie is very welcoming but also takes a "quiet concierge" approach, there when you need her while providing you lots of your own space to do your own thing. Our room was spacious, comfortable and well-appointed with everything we needed to have a comfortable, relaxing stay. The little kitchen area provided everything needed for coffee, tea, breakfast and snacks.
