Poor upkeep - even the pool area garden was engulfed in weeds. The "sustainable" water feature is hard to use and they only give you tiny glasses that overflow at even the lowest setting. The beds are comfortable, though.

Great location for getting around. Room was a bit tired looking, but clean and quiet. Staff were OK, but not particularly welcoming. However, no real complaints. I would stay there again.

The hotel room was average but very convient location. Walkable to MRT stations and in the city where all the shopping centres are located. Stay there a few times, counter staff still boring and unfriendly but the bell staff are very friendly and helpful. With their help our trip to the airport for a group of 8 was very smooth. A big thank you to them.

The hotel was conveniently located near Orchard Road and subway station was also close by. The hotel staff were pleasant and warm. The only issue I had was that the refrigerator was not working so we weren’t able to have cold water since the filtered water dispenser inside the room only dispenses hot or room temp water. The safe was also closed so we were not able to use it, but that was no big deal. In fairness, we were always out or came back late so they couldn’t really go into the room to look or fix it. I liked the security lock on their doors, it was so simple but effective.

It is very basic, but it does the job. Its clean, it has a pool and a gym, its close to multiple shopping and food areas. staff were all helpful and accommodating. The only issue in our room, was it was a bit noisy at night. Some sort of AC unit or other machinery can be heard from outside the window. A couple earbuds fixed that issue.

For a senior the MRT is still some distance away - for the young ones, it's probably a 5-10 minute walk under the hot sun & humid day. Walkable - yes - depending on one's age factor & joint health/ability to walk. Love the fragranced, well-cleaned room with simple, modern furniture & the aircon that keeps working in one's absence ( get a 2nd key to place in the slot).

The hotel is very old & outdated. The bedroom was very small & only just enough room to walk sideways down one side of the bed to get in. The bathroom was very small too. Everything is old & run down. We tried to get our belongings out of the safe before we left but the battery must have been flat & it didn't open - had to go get security to open it. The hotel location is good for Orchard Rd & close to the MRT. Breakfast was actually in the next door hotel & everything was cold so not worth eating. We didn’t get to the pool so can’t comment on that. Overall I would not stay there again.

This is the place to be! Affordable, yet everything you need. Clean and very central located, near a node of MRT lines. Although we have stayed in 5-star hotels before, with spacious rooms, we didn't lack any luxury in this 3-star hotel. The room was average in size and it had everything we needed. I was very pleased with the bed (on which we slept very well), the large window from ground to ceiling with beautiful view of the internal garden, the bathroom with a very convenient layout, the very good working airconditioning, the cooker with instant hot water, the very friendly and helpful staff (especially when you need a taxi), the clean rooms and housekeeping, the mini breakfast buffet in sister hotel Chanchellor (with even delicious warm (indian, Chinese and European) dishes, but also toast, yoghurt and fruit), and last but not least the proximity to public transport. It was only a 5 to 10 minutes walk to metro (MRT) station Summerset (the red line) or to MRT station Dhoby Ghaut (the red, purle and yellow line). It is by far the most central located hotel in Singapore. If you are staying as a tourist, this is the place to be!
