For couples seeking a quiet retreat, staying in the heart of Simtshausen is ideal. You can enjoy strolls through the village, experience local hospitality, and use it as a peaceful base for exploring the surrounding Marburg-Biedenkopf district. The area's calm atmosphere and scenic surroundings are great for a relaxing getaway.

Families looking for a comfortable base will also find the village centre appealing. Many holiday flats offer more space than typical hotel rooms, and the village provides a nice environment for children to play.

The best time to visit Simtshausen is during the late spring (May-June) and early autumn (September-October) months, when the weather is pleasant and the natural surroundings are at their most appealing.

During late spring, the countryside around Simtshausen bursts into bloom, making it an excellent time for outdoor activities like hiking and cycling. The temperatures are mild, and the days are long, providing ample opportunity to explore the Edersee region or the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park. This period is particularly good for active couples or families who enjoy nature and outdoor pursuits without the intense heat of summer.

Early autumn offers equally agreeable weather, with comfortable temperatures and fewer crowds. The changing colours of the leaves in the surrounding forests create a beautiful backdrop for walks and scenic drives.
