"Boyd Pond was the destination for our most recent sister getaway. This cabin was incredibly welcoming and CLEAN! We did not bring our pets with us but it was so wonderful to see how pet-friendly the rental was...food/water dishes, poo bags, leashes, etc. The kitchen with stocked with everything we needed and more. Beds were comfortable and we stayed nice and warm throughout our snowy stay. Our host was gracious and responsive which is always a plus! We would not hesitate to book a repeat stay. "

There were some beautiful hiking trails nearby, apple picking, My mother turned 80 this week and she really enjoyed winning the contest and 2 bonus prizes. "The place was so serene and beautiful that it felt bad leaving the place. Spent 2 nights staying at Jane's place and felt so much calmer spending time there. Listening to the sound of leaves falling and the pond nearby helped calm the nerves and enjoy the view while sipping coffee in the morning. Highly recommend! "

"We stayed for two nights during homecoming for SUNY Canton. It was a girls trip to see our freshman play volleyball and Susan went above and beyond to make our stay both comfortable and memorable. The home is charming, clean and comfortable. We had farm fresh eggs from the host’s very own chickens. The host left us everything we needed to make eggs on English muffins. We had fresh and delicious coffee and we appreciated the butter and extras in the cabinet. The farm animals were a huge bonus for our 8 year old. We had the most memorable trip and will be returning often in the next 4 years. "

"This is a very nice property with more positives than negatives.I'll put the negatives first: No curtains on windows other than in the bedrooms/bathroom. This one seems kind of odd, but there is no way to cover the windows in the kitchen, dining room, or living room (which faces the lake). This combined with slightly close neighbors means that the lights they leave on or conversations can be seen and heard. I could not get the side door to lock. The only other part that can be considered a negative is that the walk to the dock has roots around the area that are uneven. There is a handle bar to assist when walking up and down to help maintain balance.Now the positives: Incredibly well furnished, all knives, cutlery, pots, pans, trays, cutting boards were well kept. The coaches recline and are comfortable. The dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer all worked well. The fire pit is at a good location with plentiful firewood. The gas grill worked great. The hot tub is large with strong jets and fireflies come out at night. The mosquitos were only active on one of the four nights I stayed. The lake is very beautiful and worth exploring and admiring. There's a lot of small wildlife around like chipmunks, robins, red squirrels, a cat, and countless unique birds singing and living around the lake. We put up a hammock and the days couldn't be more relaxing. "
