Great place to stay. Quiet and peaceful. Hostess was very nice and gave us great recommendations for eating and exploring the area. Hot tub was great and the rooms were awesome. Highly recommend this place to stay.

We loved everything about our stay. Our host was wonderful, communicative, helpful, and kind. Her dogs are a treat. The rooms were awesome and inviting. There were deer, beautiful walking paths, luscious trees... oh my goodness the scenery was gorgeous! We were able to relax and felt totally at home.

So tranquil we didn't want to leave
The directions were thorough so we found the place easily. Once we got there we saw 2 deer on the property. The check in was easy and the 2 dogs were so adorable. The entire time we loved staying on the porch swing and rocking chairs. The hot tub was my personal favorite and easy to use. It was perfectly peaceful so much so that we waited until the very last second for check out. I would most definitely recommend.

For us, the porch and the back sun room were perfect for taking in the views. Both were so relaxing at different times of the day. There was a nature trail and lots of birds to enjoy along the walk. The dogs were an added bonus and the host was most gracious. Loved the personal touches, the amenities in the kitchen and the overall feel of the place. We will be returning!

Goldilocks property !
Not too far from town, not too close to town Not too small, not too big Everything just right. Goldilocks Very accessible and convivial hostess, with very friendly dogs. Baleful Blue (my nickname for Blue) will steal your heart. And your shoes, if given the chance. When and if we make it back to Sliver City this place will be on the top of our list.

Spent 2 nights after several days of hiking. The laundry facilities and hot tub were greatly appreciated! We stayed in the Hummingbird Suite downstairs. It was well-kept, well appointed and very homey. Peaceful setting.

This property and all the effort our host went through to make everything was amazingly. Quiet, peaceful, comfortable, beautiful are just a few words to describe our stay. We were able to observe deer, many different birds and got to play with our host's dogs. I didn't want to leave but we had to. Be assured we will come back.

This is a charming, serene place; very clean; close to town; our only complaint is that we were only staying one night and wishing we could stay 1 or 2 more just to enjoy and decompress! added plus: 2 very friendly adorable dogs! The aptly named Hummingbird Suite
Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my week long stay at the retreat in between my 29 day bicycle ride from Vancouver BC and the start of the Tour Divide Race. Azaima and Cassie were the perfect hosts.

Azaima’s property is very inviting with lovely native landscaping, interesting objects, and thoughtful touches throughout. She was very welcoming and the apartment was exceptionally clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. Only 5 minutes from downtown, it was quiet and felt wonderfully remote. If serenity and peace are what you’re looking for, I highly recommend this property. I plan to return.

The walls are reputed to be paper thin which is unnerving.
Wonderful accommodations. Seemed to be an issue with normal sound carrying in building. Were told to whisper.

It isn’t necessary to whisper here, but, as sound carries, I recommend guests keep their voices low enough so as not to disturb people in the other units. Most guests have no problem accommodating this request.

Wonderful Peaceful Home and a Surprise
We arrived early (thank you, Azaima) and opted for her "Heart Lightning Special" which was a mixture of an astrology reading, a Heart Lightening and Shamanic work. We are not really into mystic stuff like that BUT we loved it and were touched by her ability to give us insights and clarity into our lives.. Azaima is a fascinating lady who made our stay one of the most memorable events of our trip. We walked away sad to leave. This never happens in normal one night stay. Treat Yourselves.

Convenient to hiking and downtown
This was just a few miles from the revitalized downtown area, so we were able to easily take advantage of both the woods and get the small town downtown feel. The Hummingbird suite was roomy, with a well appointed kitchen and bathroom, comfortable bed, and lots of information on hikes and local places of interest. The only concern was that we didn't realize, until after booking, that this was a building with several individual suites, and not a totally private building. We had a loud group above us. The swamp cooler was really loud, so we used that to drown out the noise at night. We loved the homey feel with the patio wooden swing and super sweet, friendly dogs. The view of the mountains from the dining room revealed a beautiful sunrise.

Too short a stay!
My wife and I truly enjoyed our all-too-short stay at Azaima's property. The apartment was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed, in addition to a luxuriously large bathroom, comfortable bed, and cozy sitting room/dining area with great views of the mountains. It was also close enough to downtown to be convenient, but removed enough for peacefulness. With so much to do in Silver City and the surrounding Gila National Forest, we'll definitely be back for a longer stay!
