"Check in was at 4pm, our room wasn't clean until 9pm!!! The room was dirty, most lilely due to houskeepimg rushing. There was a line out of the lobby with many other guests upset and unable to check in. This was absolutely unacceptable. Management was little to no help!! Will NEVER stay again "

"Didn’t sleep well due to the sounds similar to bathroom fan. It ran all night. Breakfast just ok. Staff pleasant. Rooms need updating. Chair in room needs cleaning due to spills. Size of room good. Bed comfy. Drapes are old. "

"The room was clean, we stayed in a pet friendly room. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. The only negatives was no one messaged me back on the text line when it said if you need anything message there. Just needed a box fan to block out noise- still haven’t seen a reply to yes or no. They have a small grass pad for dogs which is nice. The fridge made a high pitch motor noise the entire stay. My dog was not a fan- the box fan would have been nice. "

"This is a quaint, homey family owned and operated (from what I could tell) motel. It is old, probably from the 60s, but very clean. The curtains looked like they had been carefully sewn most likely by the owner, and installed with nice pull backs. The tile in the bathroom was nicely installed, and the bathroom was very roomy. The sink had some cracks in it, and the toilet seat was worn, but everything was sparkling clean, and smelled clean. The grounds were thoughtfully groomed, and there were subtle decorations that are not present in corporate hotels. I absolutely loved staying here, and it was inexpensive too. I will stay here again whenever I visit Florence. "

"The only issue I had was minutes after I checked into our room, I started sneezing and smelling like there was mold. It is carpeted. The patio seemed scary to walk on to and run down. The patio door was difficult to open as I have back issues. The staff was very friendly. The free breakfast was good, but only have 4 tables. "

"Seemed like a rip off. We booked a room with kitchenette. Apparently we were told to rent a kitchen box with pots/pens/cuttlery etc for an additional fee. Whats’s the point of booking a room with kitchenette without anything in it. I didn’t see anywhere on expedia that kitchenette is empty really and you have to pay more to make it usable. The room overall is dated including the kitchen appliances, no exhaust for the stove… guess you have to keep windows opened when you cook."

"We stayed at Florence Lighthouse Inn and had a mixed but ultimately improved experience. Our initial room had some significant issues—the shower wasn’t working and the air vent was very noisy, which made it uncomfortable for my family. After raising our concerns, the team responded and moved us to a much better suite. We do appreciate the effort, though moving luggage with the family was not ideal, and we were left wondering why the better room wasn’t assigned from the start. Breakfast was okay but quite limited compared to other hotels. There wasn’t a menu, and we had to request items. The coffee and waffles were good, but options overall were minimal. We tried the biscuits and gravy (which seem popular), but it wasn’t to our taste. I requested an omelet, and while they kindly prepared it, it didn’t turn out great. In the end, we actually had to go out for a second breakfast to start our day properly. That said, I want to give special recognition to Eric, who genuinely tried his best to help and made a positive difference in our stay. Overall, the experience improved after the room change, and with some consistency in room readiness and breakfast quality, this place could be much better."
