"This house is great if you need a place to crash after a busy trip to the beach, however, it isn't a place to hang out. The vibe is strange and I was never really able to get comfortable. For example, there is a hot tub but it's located on a denuded hillside next to a enormous metal shed that's mostly empty except for a hammock and a family of birds. There have been some DIY home renovations but the work is seriously lacking in skill and appearance. The private dock across the road with several boats is a plus. The coast is busy and expensive in the summer so if you need a cheapish place to crash and don't care too much about aesthetics then this place may be for you."

"This was a sweet location to unwind and get an opportunity for both beach and lake life. A delightful property other than the steep driveway. We wish there was closer lake access, but perhaps we were unaware of where to find it. We were looking for a public and walkable dock to access for fishing."

"Could be a lot cleaner, there was trash under the couch ( little one crawling around found it) the house needs some updates, flooring is a little funky and there is some mold throughout the house. The pictures make it look a lot better but for the price it was kind of expected. It was nice having the dock and the hot tub. It really needs a deep clean, some of the dishes (cookware) also were in the cabinet with mold on them which is pretty gross. And the place smells like mildew BUT you're on the coast so I guess that's kind of expected but it's a turn off for a lot of people. Not ADA friendly, driveway is extremely narrow and the front door isn't easily accessible for someone that might have limited mobility. Not to mention we had to take a full trash can up 150 yard driveway uphill the day we checked in, might just be me but if the cleaning crew were already there, they should have done it. Also nearly all of the outlets need replaced, our chargers wouldn't stay in most of the outlets. This property has a lot of potential but it needs some help. We enjoyed our stay but this is what we noticed."

"While we didn't think this would be like a room at the Holiday Inn, we weren't prepared for the cute little room we got. The rooms are what used to be a RR station and have been upfitted with enough modern conveniences that you won't be disappointed - surprised, but not disappointed. Our room (and I assume the others are like this) was filled with gadgets, devices, and appliances that were vintage for the time the RR was operating and stopped there (think early 1900's). It was fun to try and figure out what these items were used for back in the day. They have WiFi, a refrigerator, a stove, and a microwave so you're not back in the 1900's yourself. It's an interesting mix of eclectic, nostalgic, and quaint. Very nice!"
