"Excellent stay at the Lodge. It’s better than the pictures. Host was responsive and gracious. Quality amenities and decorations. The wood burning fireplace was superb and set a cozy ambiance. Kitchen had everything we needed. Neighborhood is beautiful. Highly recommend. "

"Nice place. Huge open living/dining room and large kitchen. Getting to the 2nd-floor bedroom may be tricky if you have mobility issues. There is a skinny spiral staircase.(You may not need the 2nd floor b/c there is a first-floor bedroom).I recommend hiking up to the Sierra Buttes fire lookout station while you are there, especially if you are not afraid of heights. Don't trust Google Maps too much in Sierra City. It took us and our Honda Civic up a crazy, unpaved, rocky road on a mountain the first time we tried to get to the trailhead."

"A welcoming home. A large kitchen; lots of natural light; plenty of counter space; well appointed.A comfortable living and dining area. We loved seeing the starry skies from the back deck. Beds were comfy; everything was very clean. Hope to return sometime. "

"Stayed here basically bc I was too tired to keep driving. I arrived late, rang the bell and quickly checked in. While the room is small, it was spotless, with a great shower! The bed was also very comfortable. The next morning, I had a fantastic breakfast at the on-site restaurant/coffee shop. The staff at the hotel and at breakfast were amazing. At the tail end of my breakfast, they had started their (impromptu?) local church service in the coffee bar area. I stayed and sang along a few hymns."
