Jula is on the ground floor and sleeps 2/4 with 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, sofa bed in living room and a separate toilet.
The apartment is tastefully furnished with double glazed windows and has full gas central heating, well equipped kitchen and bathroom, high speed Wi-Fi, and smart flat screen TV. It is as well suited for winter getaways as it is for your summer vacation. This apartment is light and spacious and has the added benefit of a completely secluded sun terrace with a table and chairs for alfresco dining.
For larger parties this apartment can be booked together (subject to availability) with Ada - the two bedroom first floor apartment which sleeps 4.
PARKING - (Subject to registration). Your rental INCLUDES one virtual parking permit covering 11 East Devon Towns (subject to the normal short/long stay limits) which makes exploring the local area easy. There is on street parking/loading bays outside the property to facilitate loading and unloading your car. Sidmouth long term car park is on Manor Road 15 minutes walk from Goviers Cottage.
If you are exploring East Devon there is plenty to see and do. For the children there is The Donkey Sanctuary (4 miles). Pecorama - model and miniature railway (9 miles). Crearly Adventure Theme Park (10 miles). Fossil Beach at Charmouth (20 miles)
Sidmouth is in the middle of The Jurassic Coast which was inscribed by UNESCO onto the World Heritage list in 2001. It remains England's only natural World Heritage Site. The main town beach has, in season, facilities for surfing and body boarding and has lifeguard cover. Jacobs ladder beach, to the West of the town is beautiful for walks particularly at low tide. For walkers there is access to the South West Coast path with dramatic views of the Jurassic Coastline.
Sidmouth is 11 miles from Exeter Airport, 9 miles from Honiton Railway Station, 13 miles from M5 junction 30.
The history of the building is displayed throughout the property. Ada apartment – is named after the founder of the China Shop which opened in 1904 and Jula apartment is named after her Granddaughter Jula who decorated ceramics on the premises in the 1950s and 60s.
