"This site is definitely off the beaten track but not far from Cefalu where we went to visit. When we checked in the host told us about an local festival going on that evening so we walked the 8 minutes to the site of then festival and were able to sample some of the local cuisine. Every morning we awoke to the sound of bells from the local sheep herds. On Sunday morning we attended Mass at the local parish where we were part of a 50 year wedding celebration. "Getting to the hotel is a bit challenging because you’re told you’re not allowed to drive on Via Vittorio Emanuele. The hotel can do a better job of letting guests know that a driver can carefully drive on the Via carefully and slowly and if stopped by police to show the hotel confirmation email and you won’t be ticketed. The hotel is a beautiful old palace that needs to be updated, but the staff is lovely. We are extremely grateful for Giovanni’s help when we were lost trying to get to the hotel. Thank you"

"We sprayed in the Lipari Suite, overlooking the beach - the view for sunrise was breathtaking - the room was spotless & the lady who came to clean was so friendly! We loved the choice at breakfast, everything was delicious and fresh. The beach was really nice (though I wasn’t a fan of the rocks and pebbles) and the pool area was really nice and relaxing. We travelled onto Siracusa and Taormina and have missed everything about the hotel since we left - we would love to stay again"
