"I enjoyed my stay. The Hotel has good facilities but could do with smartening up. My room carpet was stained. The carpets in the general area’s appeared worn. The staff I met were very nice but it was obviously understaffed."

"We stayed in one of the Lodges. Very clean and well equipped. Plenty of tea and coffee supplies (decent quality not cheap), a great supply of Borders biscuits, and cleaning equipment including tablets for the dishwasher. Only problem was one of the bathrooms didn’t have a lock on the door. Our booking stated check out is 11:00 however the checkout for lodges is 10:00 with no opportunity to request a late checkout. We took a fan with us as wasn’t sure how hot the lodge would be but it was actually very cool once the windows were open. Each room also had fans but we didn’t actually need these in the end despite it being very hot outside. Staff were very polite and friendly. We ate in the bar and couldn’t fault the food. It can get quite noisy if there are big crowds, so if you want a quiet meal I would avoid the bar. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
