DRINKING WATER
The water comes from a private well. The well is very clean and safe to drink. This is a watershed area for NY State, so the ground is kept very clean everywhere as the streams and creeks feed the Ashokan Reservoir which is NY City’s drinking water source! I am a health nut and very mindful of my water intake.
This is a big property! There are two streams and a swimming pond. Swim at own risk! No lifeguard on duty and no diving! There is also a jacuzzi spa. Guests take full responsibility for themselves and guests and anyone else at the property for following rules and guidelines.
Guests will have access to the entire property aside from the Barn / Guesthouse. It may be occupied by the owner, or it can be rented to another group. Guests should specify their desires to owner prior to booking.
Rental manager is available at all times for guests who have urgent requests during their stay. Rental manager contact information will be provided prior to stay.

Ashton Hills is just a 3 minute drive to the best part of the Ashokan Rail Trail - a newly created 11 mile trail specifically designed for hiking, biking, walking, running, cross country skiing, snow shoe-ing. There are four trailheads, and the one closest is actually the best because it goes all along the Ashokan Reservoir and has the best views!

Owner’s Vehicle may be rented on an external car rental platform that is separate from Airbnb with separate insurance and regulations. 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi. 5 Full Seats, Siriuz XM, Sunroof, Flatbed should you need it. Very smooth ride. It's a great vehicle for getting around, especially in winter conditions as it’s 4WD.
TRAIN:
NY Penn Station AMTRAK to Rhinecliff is 1:40 minutes. Rhinecliff is 25 minutes drive to Ashton Hill. Taxi's can drop you at the property from there for about $45.
