Well cared for and well tended. Good servicea nd nice reakfast for a hotel in a tucked away town. Plan to stay there again while my daughter goes to Ship U.

I stayed here for a conference at Shippensburg University. When I went into my room it smelled like BO. I thought it was my imagination but I noticed that one of the beds was made sloppily so I just slept in the other bed. I finally had to go to Walmart and buy some Febreeze because it smelled so bad. Since I was only staying for one night, I didn’t try to change rooms but it was very disconcerting.

We went to Shippensburg for a concert and chose this hotel based on the reviews and price and location. We arrived just before check-in and was greeted by Abby at the front desk. She was very friendly, helpful, and professional. We got checked in and headed to our room; it was very clean and we had a good night sleep on the comfortable beds. The next morning we had breakfast, which was very good. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again if in the area. The only negative thing I can think of was renovations but that it only to improve a already great hotel.

Double charged us from a hotels.com reservation!!
We booked through hotels.com for a room with 2 double beds and a pull out couch for our family of 5. When I arrived I checked in, gave him a card for incidentals and was given a key, went to the room to find only a king size bed. I went back down and said I needed a 2 double room and the gentleman apologized and said that they don't get much information from hotels.com reservations. Anyway, he gave us a new room (the one we booked) and we were on our way. We were on a roadtrip, so truly only sleeping there and then leaving first thing in the morning, so we weren't about to complain, but the room had a lighbulb out in the lamp by the couch, the nighstand table attached to the wall was at a serious slant (I was worried my phone might fall off) and the room didn't have any bedding for the pull out couch. We called to the front desk and had them bring us up some bedding. When we returned home, we found that the hotel had charged us for the night stay (double charging us since we had already paid hotels.com). They are claiming now that we have to call hotels.com and get them to pay them or they will not reverse the charge. This is ridiculous! The hotel is chosing to use hotels.com, they should have to deal with these issues. They also claimed they didn't have record of it as a hotels.com reservation, but the person I checked in with acknowledged it right when I checked in! This is either malicious or they are very incompetent! Another review claims the same double chrg

Pool was closed as well as hot tub and was not aware, the bathroom door did not lock, the water pressure was bad and cosmetically the furniture in our room needed replaced. I was charged an extra $25 that I was not aware of as a hold.

Perfect stay! Cozy room with big shower.
My husband and I spent the day in Hagerstown, MD and weren't comfortable with the reviews of any of the hotels there or nearby. This hotel popped up and was a much better price and way cleaner. The reviews reassured us that we should stay. It was a half hour away from where we were but it was worth it and on our route back home. The hotel was so clean and inviting. The front desk person was friendly and even talked with us for a little bit when we came down for drinks and a snack. Our room was spotless. I've never had a hotel room be as clean as this one was. The shower was also much bigger than we expected and not some janky shower/tub combo. The water pressure is amazing. Our bed was very comfortable and all of the appliances including the tv and the remote worked without any issues. The locations is super quiet. We love that it was a pet friendly hotel so we know we could come back with our dog if we wanted to. Our stay wasn't planned so Holiday Inn really made things easy for us. We enjoyed our stay so much that we may consider coming again in the future when we travel. The only issue we had was our door knob was loose. So we had to lift the whole way up in order to open the door. But it worked fine as long as we did that. The room number was 304. I see no reason to not give 5 stars because we have never had a hotel experience be this perfect.

We've stayed at multiple places in this area when visiting our daughter at college. This by far, our favorite! Clean rooms and pool, friendly staff, great food... ALWAYS A GREAT EXPERIENCE.

The room was nice and the breakfast was ok. The problem was that the staff, at first, gave me keys for a room that was already in use by someone else. Imagine my surprise when I opened the door and saw someone else’s belongings on the bed. It makes me leery of using this holiday inn express again.
