"One of the best hostels have stayed at. Very clean, modern, beautiful kitchen. Great staff. However, there are challenges if you do not have a car. The distance to the train station going into the city is really quite a walk. Taxis are not always available. So I advise you MUST make arrangements for staff to pick you up at the train station and you must make arrangements at least one day in advance. They need to arrange to have an extra person on staff in order to be able to pick you up. There...

"We had a great stay with our family. The amenities are excellent and guest’s comfort are well thought off. The only setback is communication with non-Japanese speaking guests and check in using the tablet can be tedious. Other than that we had an excellent time and looking forward to book again."

"Located in the heart of Ikaho's stone step slope, this beautiful ryokan is perfect for you if your main focus is exploring the historic area and/or Mt. Haruna nearby. The baths are certainly nice enough as well as the bedrooms, and the staff are kind and helpful. The breakfast is amazing too!"

"We stayed the hotel as the closest one to our last destination on the day. We preferred the one with hot springs but we discovered it has man-made hotspring which was good enough for me to enjoy. The hotel seems to be popular for male businessmen much less female guests so that the I had a big public bath on my own. You find many choices for breakfast and you can get Japanese news paper as Free of charge. The hotel is at on a aroute 17. If you travl a car, the hotel can be convenient stay."

"Firm but really comfy bed, openable windows which was nice, breakfast had many options but the coffee was … nothing special. The baths were nice, good & hot, with a sauna and cold-bath too. "
"Cleaning was done on 3-day cycle (apart from daily towels and yukata replacement) which is excellent for eco-friendliness. The onsen and sauna were clean and very well maintained. Location is right next to JR Takasaki station and close to all major shops and eating places."
"Our stay was reasonably comfortable, except for a few small factors:
1. It’s a shame that they allow smoking in the rooms because we are non-smokers and smoke particles cannot be completely eradicated from the room even with a room humidifier and spray fragrance. So we could not be as comfortable as we normally would be had it been a non-smoking room. My request to the property is to create more non-smoking rooms to be available or completely eradicate smoking rooms, period! Because smokers can easily go outside the door and have a smoke. There’s no reason to smoke it up where they eat and sleep!
2. The fan in the bathroom is on 24 hours a day. When its the dead of winter and you’re freezing. It’s a very freezing cold shower if you wish to conserve hot water and not let the water running while you soap up. Then you have that fan running blowing cold air into the shower room. My request to the property is to change the fan so it can be operated by a switch. I know they want to cut down on the mold factor but for goodness sakes, part of the housekeeping job is to clean the shower and if they do that after every check out, there won’t be a chance for mold to grow. So no reason to have the fan on 24 hours a day without a switch to turn it off by the guests!!
PLEASE DO BETTER!
