"We stayed for 3 nights during April's eclipse. After looking at ridiculously priced hotels near Buffalo, we decided to instead rent a home in the Finger Lakes. Proved to be perfect as we were close to many wineries & breweries & a short trip to Pen Yan & Watkins Glen. The house was well cared for, clean, and very private. Perfect size for 2 couples and 2 kids, although one of the kids did sleep on an air mattress as there's only bed per room. The house was pretty well stocked and plenty of bedding, although we did need to get paper towels & tissues. The kids were happy that there's great wifi, even worked outside. The communication with the owner was quick & friendly. The only thing i rated slightly lower was communication because of the use of a separate app called Lodgify. My initial communications were through VRBO & a few days later I received texts to create an account through that app. Initially ignored it because i thought if was a phishing message. Finally did go into it & that's where you find details on arrival, etc, although no way to message anyone through the app. Had to go back & message through VRBO. Not a big deal but a little confusing. Would definitely consider staying here if we travel again with a small group to the Finger Lakes!"
