The Space:

The Casita is a private, standalone retreat located on the lower driveway of our neighboring property, Carriage House. While the two properties are situated on the same parcel, they are completely separate accommodations with their own entrances, parking, and outdoor spaces—there are no shared living areas, allowing guests to enjoy a peaceful and private stay.



Inside, the casita features a thoughtfully designed open-concept layout that feels both cozy and functional. The bedroom offers a comfortable bed with quality linens, creating a restful space to recharge after a day of exploring Shaver Lake and the Sierra National Forest. The full bathroom is clean and well-appointed, stocked with essentials for a comfortable stay.



The living area provides a relaxing place to unwind, while the kitchenette includes everything needed for morning coffee and light meals, making it easy to settle in and enjoy the mountain pace of life.



Large windows fill the space with natural light and showcase the surrounding mountain scenery, creating an airy and inviting atmosphere. The Neighborhood:

Nestled in the Musick / Ockenden area of Shaver Lake, this home is located in a peaceful, well-established mountain community surrounded by towering pines and fresh Sierra air. The neighborhood offers a perfect balance of privacy and convenience—tucked away from the crowds, yet just a short drive to the lake, local restaurants, and the village.



Getting Around:

Access is via Highway 168

The lake, marina, and restaurants are all a short drive away

Parking is available at the home and throughout town



There is no public transportation in Shaver Lake

Uber and Lyft are not available



The town/village is about a 15-minute walk from the home

Most other areas, including lake access and groceries, require driving



The marinas offers boat, kayak, and jet ski rentals

Winter Travel

Snow is common in winter months

4WD/AWD or chains may be required depending on conditions

NO Washer/Dryer

Steep Driveway: The driveway can be difficult to access during winter conditions. A 4WD vehicle with chains or cables and snow tires is required when booking in the winter months.
