Lovely apartment with outdoor space and a beautiful communal garden below. Close to the number three bus route so easy to get around without a car. We really enjoyed our stay!
A wonderful quiet location which was close to Shanklin’s centre but far enough away from any noise. Wonderful views and comfortable accommodation. Perfect!
We enjoyed our stay immensely. The view was magnificent and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The neighbourhood was quiet and the town of Shanklin was a short walk away. Our host was gracious and welcoming.
We had a very enjoyable 7 day stay in Shanklin. The apartment was well situated (with lovely views) and had everything that we required for an enjoyable stay. The check in process was very efficient and timely and any questions that we had were answered very quickly. We would happily stay at the accommodation again.
This apartment is perfect for a stay in Shanklin. It's in a quiet part of town with beautiful views. It's a short (slightly hilly) walk into and out of old town Shanklin, perfect for those who want peaceful surroundings, but are able enough to walk to local pubs and restaurants if you wish. The apartment is perfect if you want to self cater with all the amenities you need. We would definitely stay here again.
Clean, well equipped, great location. A few minor observations. Creaking floor boards between bedroom and bathroom. No kitchen roll- one of the very few things not thought of ! Otherwise a number of very thoughtful items available.
We are a mature couple that wanted to just get away from the big city and immerse ourselves the the culture, people, location. 5 Priory was Perfect. Met our every expectation and was the best Home Base to explore the far Eastern Coast of Isle of Wight. Wonderful day trips up to Seaside and down the Ventnor. Great English Pubs and Grub. 1000 Vespa Rally at Sandown. Very easy driving.
5 Priory was quiet, lots of parking, and a beautiful deck on which to relax, coffee, and toddies. Martin was and exceptional host and always available even though he to was on Vacation.
We totally recommend this listing.

Very clean property in a beautiful location. There was Tea, Coffee, milk and sugar on arrival. The chocolates and the wine were a very nice touch. Would stay there again.
The one small drawback was a very loud Fridge/freezer that seemed to always be running.
We had a great week at the Priory. The apartment was modern and very clean and the views from the balcony were better than in the picture. The location was also perfect with an easy walk into town and to the local bus stops which we used to travel all over the island. a big thank you to the owner, Martin, for checking we were okay and for the goodies.
I can not say enough good things about our stay at 5 The Priory in Shanklin. The property itself is wonderful..absolutely perfect for a couple. As for the views; I was amazed to find the views from the property that are shown on the website are really that good, if not even better.
The host also has an arrangement with Wightlink that meant we got a great deal on the ferry crossing, so the end result is that we can’t wait to come back again! Thank you.
This is a great apartment for two adults. Perfectly appointed, with really good facilitites and off street parking. It's a downhill walk into Shanklin and an uphill walk back - fine for those of us who are fit, those who are not good at walking could easily take the car to the centre of town where there are pubs and restaurants.
Having stayed in the centre of town before, we really liked staying in the Priory as it is quiet with beautiful views - even our day of rain was OK as we had eveything at hand.
So good we are booked for next year :-)
Thanks for a lovely stay !
The priory is a realy clean tidy and spacious apartment with outside decking to take in the beautiful view of Shanklin Bay/ beach. It also boasts a walk through garden leading right down to near cliff edge. I would highly recommend this property for adventure or relaxation. Go back agai.? Yes...
We were very happy with the apartment and the views were delightful. Plenty to see and do in the area. and we would definitely recommend this apartment.
Very good property and location with easy walking access to Shanklin's shops and restaurants aswell as easy access to the beach. Great location to explore the Island.
A well located apartment, very well presented with plenty of parking with amazing sea views. It’s within walking distance of the village which has a number of good food offers including a great Italian restaurant. We would stay again!
