"Great stay, clean and tidy."

"I would describe the stay as travelodge level rooms- fairly basic. Probably a 2-3 star stat. Standard of cleanliness isn’t great- the room had a faint smell of damp or urines. The mugs in the room were also dirty The facilities were surprisingly impressive- a good sized pool and proper gym. We stayed here and spent the first day in Portsmouth and the second day in Chichester. It’s a good and accessible location."

"We recently stayed for 2 nights Friday-Sunday as we were attending a family wedding on Saturday. Checked in to the hotel at 8.50 and had a dinner reservation at 9. Upon going to our room at about 11 we noticed a letter from the hotel on the bed. Apparently their new policy is not to service the room for stays of more than one night unless they are asked. However you have to let them know by 10 the night before. As we were an hour late I telephoned reception but there was no answer. The following morning before breakfast we went to reception to ask for our room to be serviced sometime that day. We explained that we would be out from midday to midnight. The receptionist advised us that our room would be serviced later in the afternoon that day. Upon returning to our room "

"This hotel is well situated and the reception and bar areas are top class. The staff also are not to be faulted, providing a warm welcome and nothing too much trouble. The bedroom and decor however, leave much to be improved upon. Poor paint finishing, a wash basin in the main bedroom area separate from the shower and toilet, a dreadfully weak shower and a strange pump noise going on throughout the day/night intermittently. All easily remedied which would make this welcoming hotel one of the best in Shanklin I reckon."

"I had a truly lovely stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and their friendly approach really made the whole experience feel special and relaxed. The room itself was spotless and beautifully maintained. Everything was clean, fresh, and comfortable, which made it easy to settle in and enjoy the stay. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into keeping the rooms to such a high standard. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The combination of such kind, helpful staff and a clean, comfortable room made my stay thoroughly enjoyable, and I would happily return again."

"Absolutely unprofessional and rude behavior of member of staff at reception in the 01 may morning. Will not recommend to deal with this hotel if that is work related stay. A member of staff was inadequate and incompetent. Refusing to provide with a room invoice, where i have paid DIRECTLY to reception on my check in, blindly arguing with people from abroad whos primary language is not English. And in fact being wrong in a situation he created."
