This updated home right on the Shallotte River offers a unique floor plan, new furnishings and fixtures, and a private dock on the river, perfect for lazy afternoons with a fishing pole.

Inside, you'll find a split floor plan. The center of the household is the kitchen, with spacious Corian countertops and custom maple cabinetry. Just adjacent is the sunny dining space. On one side of the kitchen, you'll find the first suite featuring a sofa bed, an electric fireplace, and a smart TV, as well as a desk for remote work and an en suite bathroom. On the other side of the kitchen, the second suite offers a living area with a queen sofa bed, a smart TV, and an updated en suite bathroom.

You'll love spending time outside, with a backyard paradise featuring a walkway to the private floating dock, an outdoor seating area, and a covered patio. With a quiet, secluded location, river access, and a comfortable, unique interior, you might want to plan a little longer stay - all that's left to do is book it.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. The house was clean and the fishing was great! It is very close to the beach as well.

Had a very pleasant experience staying here. The house was clean, well stocked and in a convenient location. We loved the dock and spent most of our time fishing and crabbing. The house comes with 2-3 crab pots and is located in an ideal spot for fishing. Would for sure come back again!

Loved the home...perfect size for my husband and I and our dog. Very unique home...could be in a much better neighborhood but its on the water and not an issue once you get to the house, unless I was paying more.

The upkeep such as cleaning, quality and cleanliness of furniture ie. Sofa and bunkbeds and the lawn need mowing. Found dirty dishes in cabinet, no clean linens for fold our couch, lights on the walkway of the pier didn't work luckily we brought flashlights. Over all would not return for a second stay. Would not recommend.

Loved the back yard a fire pit area- this house could be great but needs some work- the roads to the home were nothing but pot holes. Warning the home is surrounded by double wides that should be torn down. This home could definitely be a gem as the back yard is great. They did a nice job redoing the main bedroom. The one couch and kitchen table chairs were stained and I would not sit an any of them. Had no real issues really just leaving constructive feed back.

I do not recommend staying at this property or engaging with this property host company. The interactions are mostly automated and any problems you have the individuals on the phone are very scripted and can’t address your concerns. I arrived and found that a window off the master bedroom would not lock. I did not feel safe since I was traveling on my own. I did not stay for either of the two nights. They did not budge from their no refund policy without 30 days prior notification. Not sure how I could notify them in advance of a safety concern that you can only discover onsite. No refund for either night was issued, no refund for the extra I paid for a late check out and no refund for the cleaning fee that they wouldn’t have needed since I didn’t stay at the property. I do not feel they genuinely care about the safety of their customers.

Quaint cottage on the river. Very peaceful. Clean and well furnished interior. Nice pier for fishing and relaxing. Quiet area. Just put your blinders on when arriving and leaving the property. We would visit again.

It was very peaceful after getting past the deceiving entry to neighborhood, which was quiet. The road into the neighborhood could use some repairs. No channel guide for TV, no coffee filters for coffee pot

The view was amazing. The ride into the property is lined with pot holes and patched asphalt and concrete. Unless you have an SUV, I would suggest not bringing a car that is low to the ground. The outdoor area was nice, however the cushions need to be discarded. Faded and not attractive, they also don't fit the furniture. The sofa is stained in the main living area, as well as the chairs in the kitchen. The entire exterior of the house needs to be painted and there are trees and weeds growing out of the gutters. I know this is a pet friendly house, but the entire house smelled. Not a musty smell, but an foul odor. We went and purchased a spray and kept spraying it so we wouldn't have to smell the foul odor. This house was perfect to sleep and rest, the bed was comfortable and clean. Other than that, I would most likely not stay here again.

As stated in other reviews, driving through the neighborhood made us feel a little unsure. After we got to the house it was better. There had been a rainstorm sometime before we arrived and tree debris was all over the driveway. We had to clean off before entering the house with a shovel, the drain was not working properly. The house was nice, clean, and had all the needed amenities. The pier was nice, we did some fishing but didn’t have any luck. The gas grill worked with no problem. It was a pretty view to look out in the morning and evening. It was pretty quiet too. Vacasa was very responsive to my concern about the driveway.

The private dock was a highlight. The location is beautiful, don't be discouraged by the drive through the neighborhood before you get there. Comfortable clean beds. Any issues were taken care of promptly.
