The space Welcome to Mountain Air—a 2-bedroom cabin where your only neighbors are the local wildlife. Nestled at forest level in a wooded holler, this retreat is about being away from the crowded "cabin resorts" and tourist traffic and immersed in nature. We take pride in offering a spotlessly clean and comfy home—a detail our guests mention in nearly every review.
Whether you are looking for a last-minute hiking getaway or a relaxing break to "recharge", this is the "Quiet Side" of the Smokies at its best: ・Spring & Summer: Wildflowers on the trails, cool mornings on the deck, firefly evenings, and easy park access without the Gatlinburg gridlock. ・Fall & Winter: Peak foliage viewed right from the rockers, dual fireplaces glowing (Oct–Mar), and a steaming hot tub under clear winter skies.
Single-Level Indoor Layout: ・Living Area: Sunny and open with a large Smart TV, seasonal gas fireplace, and a queen pull-out sofa. ・Kitchen & Dining: Well-equipped with both K-Cup and drip coffee makers, full cookware, and an 8-person dining table. ・Master Suite: King bed, seasonal gas fireplace, TV, and an en-suite bath. ・Bedroom 2: Twin-over-full bunk bed, TV, and an en-suite bath with a jetted soaking tub!
Outdoor Living: Relax outside rain or shine on the large covered porch or on the covered rear decks featuring wooden rockers and a bench swing. Unwind in the completely private hot tub or head to the wood-burning fire pit area.
Guest access The entire cabin and grounds are yours to enjoy! We use a secure digital keypad for self-check-in. Your unique door code and a link to our digital guidebook (filled with our favorite local "insider" tips) will be sent 2 days before arrival.
Note: The interior housekeeping closet and exterior crawl space remain locked and are only for owner use.

Fantastic location. Cabin was better than described and well appointed. The only thing I would caution about is you should have a 4x4 or AWD vehicle. Did not see any bears but did have several visits from some turkeys. The communication from the hosts was excellent and we wanted for nothing. We will definitely be booking this cabin in the future.
Communication and preparation by Chuck (owner) was fantastic. We had all of the information we needed and had a great stay. The beds are very comfortable and the cabin is relaxing, secluded, and extremely quiet and way from everything just like we wanted.
We had a wonderful stay at this secluded cabin in Wears Valley! The advance disclosure about the road was very helpful and allowed us to make an informed decision before booking, which we really appreciated. The cabin itself was extremely well maintained, clean, and comfortable. The hosts were very responsive and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. One of our favorite parts was the remoteness of the property. We enjoyed sitting outside, listening to nature, and identifying the many birds around the cabin. Wildlife was definitely part of the experience—we had a bear open the door of our unlocked truck one morning. Thankfully, there was nothing inside except a water bottle, and the bear quickly exited, leaving the door open behind him! We followed the bear safety instructions provided by the hosts exactly as recommended. We also spotted a bear later that afternoon while driving back to the cabin.Despite feeling wonderfully secluded, the cabin was still conveniently close to the park entrance as well as several unique shops and restaurants.Overall, this was a fantastic stay, and we would definitely return the next time we’re in the area.
Perfect place for a get away from the craziness of pigeon forge. Very convenient but you feel like your in own little world. Cabin was really clean and well stocked with everything you would need. The hot tub was great after long days of hiking. The drive up to the cabin is interesting as the owner notes on the posting. I wouldn't drive a car to the cabin. The owner worked with us to switch dates and he was amazing to work with. We will be back in the future
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mountain Air. The property is gorgeous and Gatlinburg was so much fun! Definitely recommend staying at this property. The hot tub was the highlight of the trip!
Love the secluded area of the cabin. The road going in was no problem for me but anyone in a low car needs to be aware it is a little rough. But perfect for me & my family. The owner made sure everything is perfect and there was no issues at all during our stay.
If you’re looking for a place where you look out the windows and see mountains instead of the next cabin this is the one. Our hosts was wonderful, the cabin and location was amazingly wonderful.
Had an amazing time at the beauty cabin. Very secluded but close to everything. Road to cabin can be rough but no big deal. I want to go back again with whole family.
We loved our stay here! Everything was as expected! Very clean, peaceful, and beautiful! The hosts were very polite and easily available to talk to! No disappointments and will definitely book again!
Great place to stay. Quiet and secluded. The house was clean and had everything needed to enjoy our time away. The drive to the property was scenic and beautiful. There were so many beautiful views and hikes.
Really enjoyed the cabin stay. Was very nice ,clean and everything I’d hope for. Admittedly, the road to the cabin left a little to be desired but we had a good vehicle to navigate it in. But all in all we really enjoyed our stay

Loved our stay
The cabin is exactly what we wanted. Nobody around and just peace, quiet, nature, and a great hot tub. Thanks to Chuck for being a good host!
Fantastic property. Hot tub and jetted tub were great after a long day. Trips to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Cherokee, NC. Very clean property with beautiful, secluded area. Owners were great on checking in and providing the information for tge property through touchstay.
I work a very stressful job and needed some time away. Mountain Air was perfect, so peaceful and quiet. Cabin was very well taken care of and the hot tub was so relaxing. Definitely enjoyed our time away. Highly recommend a 4 week drive for the road to the cabin.
We throughly enjoyed our stay at Mountain Aire! Shortly after arriving we were welcomed by a mama bear and 2 cubs on the front porch!! The cabin was clean, the bed was comfy and the 2 fireplaces kept us nice and toasty. We enjoyed using the fire pit and hot tub! Beautiful surroundings!!
This cabin is very nice & has all the things- fire pit w/ seating, 2 gas fire places, swing, hot tub, whirlpool tub, dishes & coffee pot/keurig. The master bed is super comfy & sleeps good! I would suggest you have a vehicle with 4WD to maneuver the road to the cabin in rain/snow.
