Property location was ideal for our family. Swimming hole was the highlight. Far enough away the baby couldn't get to it but our larger 3 kids could. Stream was wonderful.
We stayed a weekend and with the chaos of the strip, we wanted something just outside Gatlinburg. This is the perfect location. Pittman Center. So quiet and just far enough off the road that you hear no noise. Cabin was sound proof as well. Very clean! Will stay again!
We had a great time. The cabin was clean and conveniently located. It was small but nice. The blinds were not the best, there were gaps. You couldn't sit comfortably and watch tv on raining days. the floors in multiple areas were weak you could feel it sink in.
Stayed 5 days at this cabin. Overall enjoyed stay however the pictures are decieving in a few ways:
-unlike the pictures the cabins DO NOT back right up to the river. Your actually a few hundred feet away in a half circle with the other cabins
-The cabins do not come with central a/c and ours did not have its own a/c unit in each bedroom. Would be fine in the winter but made for some miserable sleeping at night in july. At least they provided a few box fans.
-The pictures in my opinion make it seem like each cabin is fairly secluded, however your with about 5 other cabins spaced less than 15-20 foot apart
Other than this i will say the creek you are near by has an excellent swimming hole that we really enjoyed. Overall if your just looking for a place to crash at night this is a decent choice.
Everything we needed for a week's stay was provided by the host. The location was perfect for a quiet getaway. The cabin was clean, lights were on for our arrival, heat was on and the rooms had a quaint cabin feel.
Rustic cabin w short walk to River. Overall nice experience but the beds were quite small especially if you’re over 6 foot as my husbands feet hung off the bed.
The refrigerator was shot. We had to put what little food we could fit in the freezer. I thought we would have the smoker grill from photo however it was a different rusty one but made it work. All in all it was a cool old cabin but the fridge and no central air was the pits.
The property is located to far back in the woods an takes to long to leave out. Everything in the property is out of date. The shower was dirty, we used a towel to stand on to wash. There was no washer an dryer. The toilet sets so low to the floor. The bed mattress is horrible. There's no ceiling fans, only box fans. The floors in the property needs to be fixed. An I woke up with something that looks like a spider bite under my breast and on my leg. This property needs a lot of major upgrades. We will not be staying at this property again.
the only complaint was you cannot fish. too many swimmers no quiet time. the trout would not bte if you payed them. wen thought it would be perfect for fly fishing, tht was a disappointment.

Great location, but cabin amenities need updating & cleanliness needs to be addressed.
The location of the property was great; however, the cabin's amenities are in need of updating. The linens, pillows, utensils and blinds all need updating. We had to place a sheet over one of the bedroom windows because the blinds did not close properly.
The biggest issue that we had with the property was the cleanliness of it. There was a huge "commercial" garbage can (think McDonald's) in the kitchen; and although it had a fresh bag in it, was covered in filth & had gnats. We also discovered crumbs in the covers and on the nightstand of one of the bedrooms. There was also grime in the utensil drawers. All in all, it did not look like much care went into the cleaning/sanitation of this property.
VRBO charges absurd fees to begin with; $80 of which was for "cleaning & preparation". Being charged fees up front, we fully expected the property to be clean. In all honesty, we left the property cleaner than when we arrived...
