The cabin was lovely and just as pictured! The views were fantastic. Kristen responded quickly to any message and gave us ideas of things to do while in town. The views from the deck were breathtaking and the sunset was gorgeous! Definitely would stay here again!

The view was absolutely amazing, the beds are very comfortable, the cabin was very cozy, we loved every bit of our stay and will definitely be back at some point. Our host recommended some very good attractions, we hiked Grotto Falls and Ramsey Cascades, both hikes were beautiful, Ramsey was much a longer and harder hike but was worth every bit of it. Doly Stampede was another fun entertainment.

This was the perfect getaway. The views are amazing! The three levels let everyone spread out and have space and peace. :) We had a lot planned for this trip, but I want to come back and just be in this space. 15 out of 10!

Incredible place to stay

What an amazing place! We rented this cabin for 5 nights and had an absolute blast. The view is beautiful, there is plenty of space, and there are activities for both adults and kids. The host is very responsive and was incredibly helpful with suggestions for things to do during our stay. I would recommend anyone visiting to give this place a chance. We have stayed at 3 other cabins in the area by far our favorite.

Relaxing and Fun Family Retreat!

If you’re looking for relaxation, beautiful views and fun, this property will not disappoint! Clean, cozy and well appointed, our family enjoyed quality time together with meals overlooking the Smoky Mountains, watching fireworks from the hot tub, and game nights! This retreat is a true getaway. Allow extra time to travel up and down the mountain to enjoy all that the surrounding area has to offer. The property owners are top notch as well!

Great Location and Incredible Views!!

We have been to the Blue Ridge Mountains several times over the years and really liked this place! Exactly what we were hoping for with proximity to town, views and even slightly secluded compared to other mountain rentals. Excellent Service and communication and well! Thanks!!

Red-Tailed Retreat is an absolutely AMAZING cabin to stay in!! Our family has been to a few different cabins in the area over the years, and all 4 of us agree this is our absolute favorite! The cabin was super clean and well maintained, had absolutely gorgeous views, very comfortable beds, lots of entertainment, and was a great place to relax at the end of a long day. The host was hands down the best we have ever dealt with! Kristen is super communicative & friendly, and very easy to get ahold of if needed. We had one little question and she responded to me within minutes. We appreciated all of her tips and suggestions that she sent to us before the trip such as places to visit, restaurants to try, etc. You can tell that she truly cares about her guests and wants everyone to have a fantastic experience! I highly, highly recommend this cabin to anybody visiting the Smokies :) We hope to come back again!

Amazing view!

This is a beautiful cabin that looks just like the pictures. It has everything you need to enjoy time at the cabin. The views are absolutely spectacular! The roads up the mountain are windy and narrow but we had no issues in our SUV or sports car.

Gorgeous cabin!

If you're looking to truly enjoy the Smokey Mountains, this is the perfect spot! Beware that the drive to and from the cabin up the hill is steep and we only tackled it once a day -- which is why we made the most of our days! We loved having a cabin to unwind in each evening and cook our meals and enjoy the sunset from the balcony. Plus, you can watch the Dollywood fireworks from the balcony so there is no need to stay at the park. We traveled with 4 sons 7 and under and they loved the cabin!

Wonderful Family Trip

Our family (myself, husband, 4 boys ages 6-14, and grandparents) stayed at the Red Tailed Retreat for four nights over Memorial Day weekend. We highly recommend. Kristen was responsive to any question I had. She also provides a guidebook for the cabin once you've booked with so much information about the cabin and area to help you plan. She provided lots of great recommendations for places to eat that we really enjoyed. The cabin was the perfect set up for our family with how the spaces were laid out. Plenty of room for everyone and very clean. The views from the cabin were amazing! Be aware when planning your outings from the cabin, it does take some time to get up and down the mountain and into town depending on where you're heading. Close to Dollywood. We spent one day there. Two days we did hikes in the park and planned those outings with other activities/eating out to make the most of our time out of the cabin rather than going back and forth. Our boys also really loved the pool table and arcade video games. We'd love to stay here again!

Breathtaking views

Very impressed with not only the with views and cabin but the impeccable host! We arrived very late night and by no fault of host we couldn’t get the code to unlock the door! Within a matter of minutes our host fixed everything and we were in! If you are looking for views you will not be disappointed with Red tailed retreat. The drive up was not as bad as I thought it would be but it is a nice drive up! The cabin was clean, cozy, and very inviting. Thank you for sharing your family’s beautiful Smoky mountain cabin!

WOW!

This cabin is beautiful! The perfect location for our family trip to Dollywood and the surrounding area. Son, his wife and our 2 grandkids downstairs, second son and his wife upstairs, and my husband and I on the main floor - each with our own bathroom - was the perfect setup. We ate breakfast at the cabin then spent the day out, returning each evening to enjoy a home cooked meal prepared in the well stocked kitchen, topped off by a beautiful sunset which we enjoyed from the balcony. The view was stunning! This cabin is everything it says it is (very clean, too!) and the host is very easy to communicate with and offers great suggestions and advice. Wish we could have stayed longer! I highly recommend Red-Tailed Retreat!

This cabin is one of the best cabins we’ve ever stayed in.The owner communicated check in info in advanced with everything we needed. The drive up wasn’t as at all. We followed Apple Maps and we didn’t have any issues just do the speed limit and take your time. The view was amazing, I can’t put into words how beautiful it was. The cabin was very clean from top to bottom. The kitchen had everything you need if you wanted to cook. It was hard to get door dash up there so we brought precooked food and went out for food. My boys enjoyed the games and hot tub. We stayed on the main floor and the boys were in the basement. The bed was comfortable, we slept pretty good. There were ladybugs and other bugs flying everywhere but that’s expected in Tennessee. We stay in this area at least 3 times a year and I must say this cabin is now in our top 3.Thank you for such an experience.

Spectacular!

We loved everything! The 10 minute trip up the mountain is so worth it and we close to Dollywood and the main blvd. Host is very organized and quick to respond to messages. I don't know how old the cabin is, but the feeling was that it was recently built or recently re-decorated/renovated. Met our needs and then some. We felt that we were in a safe and secure environment and fit our 2 SUVs comfortably. We were the last one on that road, which we liked. The checkout list of to dos was very simple and fast to get done. We had previously searched and searched for a cabin that would meet all of our needs with no luck. Until we found this cabin! So happy we found it and it was available. We booked in January 2024 and stayed end of May 2024. The weather was wonderful! 8 people, 4 of which were children. They loved the bunk beds, games, hot tub, and their own showers to share. Loved the details, like the timed light bulb strands on the balcony, the extra big towels for the hot tub, and the fleece blankets! AND THE VIEW! We timed the sunset each day to be sure that we didn't miss it and ate outside at the dining table often. The kitchen had all the appliances we needed, even a crock pot, a keirig, a drip coffee pot, and a tea kettle! I slept on the 3rd floor in a huge king with my 9 year old. The bed was so comfortable and even had its own little fridge. We stayed for 8 nights. Loved all the roku tvs and the spacious showers. I hated to leave!
