The place was beautiful and it had everything we wanted. Unfortunately, things weren't properly cleaned. When I turned on the jets in the jacuzzi tub black flakes shot out all over me...very gross. The stand up shower had a lot of mold and mildew and one of the toilets was very dirty. We did a weekend stay for Friday and Saturday night and on Saturday morning we got a knock on the door and looked out the window to see a nondescript white maintenance van. We cracked the door to see who he was and he said he was scheduled to work on the TVs. We called the number on the info paper on the coffee table in the front room and it was the old owner and she gave me the number of the current owner. We called with no answer. So the maintenance man called and she answered and he had it on speaker and she said that he was supposed to be there, that she had left me a message but the "service was spotty" and she offered a 10% refund for the inconvenience (which hasn't went back in the bank yet). It was just very unprofessional, she should have gotten directly ahold of me or confirmed my response back. We did NOT want the interruption but she asked if it would be ok while he was standing there on speaker, so it would have been very uncomfortable to say no at that point. He said it would take 30min and it took 2 or 3 hours, so we couldn't leave to go get food like we had originally planned. She did refund me the cost of the cleaning fee (that has went back into the bank account) plus the 10% (that hasn't went into the account) , but overall we still feel cheated out of our weekend and were very unhappy with the lack of professionalism. The maintenance could have very well waited until AFTER our departure at 10am on Sunday. Overall very unsatisfied with our experience. :(
