This cabin is in the woods! You may see or hear insects and bears.
This cabin is only about a mile off the main road (Wears Valley Rd) which is flat, but the last quarter mile is a little steep. The driveway is also a bit steep. For cabins with a view, this is relatively mild and only a short distance. Any car can easily handle it, however, if there is snow or ice you would want 4 wheel drive. That's the tradeoff for having an amazing mountain view :-)
The TVs in the cabin all have wifi access with streaming apps such as netflix, but bring your own logins.
Pets are not allowed. If you sneak in a pet you will be charged $500 and asked to leave.
Please note there are security cameras monitoring the front and rear entrances for our mutual protection.

Got married and had some family come in to town for it and this cabin provided everything we needed! The king suites with their own bathrooms was a huge selling point for us. Everyone had their own space but also enough room to hangout all together! Wish it could’ve lasted longer that’s how much we enjoyed it and the views from the back deck made for great family pictures we will cherish forever!
Nice view, parking dicey, property needs a little cleanup and was a little overgrown but overall was a great cabin with
lots of room. Had a great time and the property manager was awesome. Thanks.
We had a great week at the cabin. It was perfect for our family, kids and grandkids. Everyone had their own space and there were plenty of things to do. The grandkids loved the bunk beds and we all enjoyed the theatre room. We even got to see a few bears during our stay. Location is perfect to either go into the Park or Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. The property owner was very easy to communicate with and responded quickly when needed. We will definitely be back.
We live in Texas and are formerly from Atlanta. Some of our Atlanta family joined us and the cabin was perfec for our grouop. The weather was perfect and we saw a bear walking through the yard. We were on the top balcony at the time..
The location has an awesome view. Each guest had their own full bath. We really enjoyed the theater room. The bones of the cabin are very nice but needs some attention. I would recommend owners of property to stay a few days to see the fixes and updates needed. The getting into the parking area is a bit gnarly. Signs, reflectors , rails would be nice. Overall, good time had by all.
This house had everything we needed & more! Such a beautiful home & the views are stunning! The host was amazing with communication from start to finish! Couldn’t have asked for a better stay!! If you are planning a trip to this area, stay here, you won’t be sorry!!
We travel to the Smoky Mountain every year for my birthday and Memorial day weekend. This cabin was by far the best we have had! Clean, large, beautiful. We had a great time and hope to be back!
Just 20-30 min from all of the action, but far enough away to be peaceful and get away from the crowds in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Plenty of space for a large group and great view. Bring extra pillows!
This house was very spacious. It had everything you need.
The view was amazing. And I was very impressed with the communication to and from the property manager that checked in on us throughout to trip to see if there was anything we needed. We would highly recommend this location.
The host was amazing! And the property was beautiful! So peaceful and relaxing. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the pots and pans and anything you could possibly need. The game room and theater room was so nice! We loved it and will definitely be back again. The host was quick to reply to messages and so very helpful. 5 star experience all around!
Beautiful cabin with awesome views! This beautiful log cabin was perfect for 5 couples. Everyone had their own king bedroom and private bathroom. The movie theater on the second level is awesome! It’s located off Wears Valley Rd. Where you can easily get to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Cherokee NC. We’ll definitely be back.
This cabin had everything we needed! The views were amazing! We were snowed in for a couple of days - the kitchen had everything we needed to feed a large crowd. The theater room was wonderful. Our ONLY complaint would be plumbing issues - horrible septic smell from bathrooms on the main level. Owner was very responsive and offered to have someone come out to resolve but due to icy conditions, no one would have been able to come before we left. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.
The cabin was so nice, beautiful inside & out. We had such a good time enjoying each other company.
The renting of this property was very simple. I got emailed the code to get in the day before we left. We arrived, entered the code the door unlock & when we stepped in i know i had rented with the right people. The cabin was so clean & spacious. All the rooms were really nice & everything was there that you needed besides food & drinks. We really enjoyed the set up and everything else. We even got to see a bear, good thing were had a 3 story cabin😂 I would definitely recommend anyone to rent with them & i definitely plan on renting again. Do you all have cabins located anywhere else?
This house was beautiful, as were the views! Check-in was a bit rocky, but after that, everything was great!!!! Our group was aged 1 year to 77 years and Papa Bear Lodge accommodated us all! It is not ADA-friendly, so folks should be able to walk well and climb stairs. Bring baby gates to block the stairs for toddlers and babies. Because of all the touring of the area we did, we didn't have much time to enjoy the amenities of the house and are regretting that. This house is very spacious, beautiful, and comfortable. Very cutely decorated, too! Communicating with the owner was easy, too. We can't say enough about our stay for our first time to the mountains!
We rented this cabin to have Christmas with our children & Grandchildren. Our jet tub did not work reported No one ever showed up to fix! Then my Son n law woke up with Bites Checked the bed to find out it was Bed Bugs We reported to the Host ! Our trip was very stressful Coming home Very pissed off Still no word from the Host! We were very Traumatized! I would not recommend staying at this cabin! The water pressure was terrible, Very bad odor when we opened Cabinets 😡
Thank you so much for the opportunity to spend Thanksgiving with our family this past week. We looked for a cabin in the mountains with space for everyone, and “wow” features like a great room with picture perfect views out the massive glass windows and we found it with your cabin. From the moment we walked in the doors late Tuesday evening, until we packed up and left on Sunday morning, we felt like we were home. It was just welcoming and warm and had everything we needed to feel comfortable. The amenities were charming, accommodating and well thought out, especially in the kitchen – they had most everything we could have wanted or needed. The bedrooms were all large and well appointed with extra blankets and pillows, separated enough for privacy and quiet if someone needed to sleep in; the bathrooms were spacious with even larger jacuzzi tubs. Our crew was able to settle in and enjoy card games at the huge kitchen table, watch college football on Saturday with the enormous sectional and comfy recliners, and then every night, we had the “great pool tournament”, in other words, there was lots of fun for everyone!! Laura was responsive and helpful in regard to the area, grocery shopping and any questions we had. She made planning a Thanksgiving away from home so much easier. We had a great time and with a lot of exciting events our family experienced this year - new baby, new sons and daughters-in-law, we were especially thankful to enjoy our holiday together and in such a magnificent setting. If you’re looking for a place to gather and feel at home, this is the place.
This house was absolutely beautiful! It was the perfect accommodations for 5 couples, offering each our own master suite. The small issues we did have would not give me cause to give less than 5 stars on any rating. The icemaker in the main floor kitchen refrigerator was not working and the water output in the refrigerator also was not operational. Fortunately, there was an icemaker on the mid-level. The TV in the theater room was difficult to get a movie to play on but we finally figured it out on the last day of our stay and were able to enjoy one movie in that very cozy room. I would have to say the only major complaint that we all had was the rather strong sulfur smell that came from the water anytime the toilets were flushed, showers or sinks ran. It was hard to stomach brushing my teeth with that smell and we resorted to using bottled water for that. The shower heads were terrible, the water pressure could not get the shampoo out of my hair so I had to take baths when I wanted to wash my hair.
I was slightly disheartened that when we requested a late checkout (at the very least an extra hour) and we were denied. The day before checkout we encountered a family emergency that resulted in my mother-in-law being admitted into the hospital. We had quite a few changes to make at the last minute in packing vehicles as some family members had to stay behind and having even an extra hour to re-organize our vehicles would've been very helpful. The location of this cabin was perfect for us. We don't like staying too close to all the touristy areas. For us it's the perfect distance to all our favorite spots. We had hoped to try the sky lift right next-door but due to the unexpected emergency our plans had to change. We did however have the opportunity to eat at the cafe at the bottom of the mountain and it was delicious! If given the opportunity we would definitely consider this cabin again for it location, beautiful views, and awesome layout.
Nice and roomy just as described. The layout was nice, bedrooms were not side by side like some. Great communications from Laura. Thanks for being a wonderful host.
We had an amazing stay at this beautiful cabin! There were 11 of us, 6 adults and 5 kids ranging from 6-13. The multiple floors were great so that we could all enjoy our own spaces if we wanted. It was perfect having two master bedrooms on the main floor. My mother has a hard time walking and steps are particularly difficult. The views were amazing, and we had everything we needed. There was plenty of space for our Thanksgiving meal. The game room and theater were wonderful, and I like that they were on the bottom floor to keep the noise low on the main floor. A few things: (1) Suggestion: It would be nice if the bottom floor bedroom was a bunk room. We had the kids on the middle floor in order to accommodate them all and I think that floor is more suited for adults or teens. It would have been nice to have the kids where all the action is, lol. (2) The first entry step is really high and awkwardly angled in regard to the pavement. Not exactly sure how to fix that, but I figured it was something I should mention. (3) It is a little farther from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge than we thought, but it wasn't a problem at all. The quiet/peaceful cul-de-sac street was great. The host was awesome, checking in with us and following up afterwards. Definitely recommend this cabin! We all had the perfect time! Wish we could have stayed longer!
This was an amazing cabin!! Beautiful views and very cozy! Had everything for the whole family. Very good communication with the host. I would highly recommend!
