"Group of 6 of us enjoyed our stay at Loon's Nest for 3 nights early July. It's rustic but completely fine and enjoyable. Be advised that there are mice, but that's a given in the wilderness in a cabin this age. (Just make sure you clean the kitchen surfaces properly and put your dried goods in the fridge overnight and whenever you leave the cabin.) We enjoyed watching the float planes take off from Tyax Lodge down the lake in front of the cabin every morning. There's also a lot of geese that enjoy the grassy waterfront area, so step carefully. Be advised that the supplied internet is not for streaming purposes. Only usable for texting and emailing. (Again, fine for a wilderness stay I guess, but just know that the internet is not StarLink.)But it's still very charming and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place."

"The main floor of the house is roomy, a great space to cook, hang out. Great views of the mountains and river. Kitchen was well stocked. Had everything except a microwave. Parking was great, and easy to find. Quiet neighborhood. Stairs need safety enhancements. Master bedroom and bathroom were wonderful. The bidet is a nice touch. Downstairs rooms need better ventilation and more storage. Downstairs bathroom is really only a shower stall, toilet and laundry room that needs some work."
