We stayed for three nights in the Mirage while seeing the local sights around Sossusvlei and Sesriem and found it to be a perfect oasis. The hotel is well-designed to handle the weather and is beautifully decorated. Our room was very spacious and true 5-star comfort, despite the isolated location. We also greatly enjoyed the included generous breakfast and 5-course dinner. We LOVED Sossusvlei Lodge! It's so close to the gates of Sessriem, so we were able to be the third car in line to drive to see the spectacular Deadvlei in the morning and the Lodge itself is such a gem in the desert! We loved our room - the bathroom is huge and the bed is very comfortable. We really enjoyed the gorgeous food in the beautiful outdoor setting in the evening, too - creating your own stir fry at night and scrambled eggs in the morning is a real treat out in the middle of Namibia!

The property was absolutely beautiful, well run and staff were great, the rooms are stunning. My issue wasn’t with the property but with the map on Expedia, it implies the property is very near the entrance to the park and the dot was not in the right place, it was a very long and dust road! So we were a little disappointed on the way there but we were happy when we eventually got there. If I’d known where it was when I booked this wouldn’t have bothered us

The pool and gardens were immaculate and my family room was very clean and comfortable. On arrival the key would not open the door lock. It took 40 slow minutes to have it repaired and then he asked for a tip !! I wish there was a power point near the bed so I could have my phone charging while in use. The pool towels all need replacing and the sun lounges were covered in bird poop. The Sunset tour was fantastic. I felt that we were not given enough time on the full day Soussvlei...
