Main floor was clean but basement and loft, cleaners missed a lot. It was very dusty with lots of cobwebs. Cleaners have missed a lot of places over and over again. The downstairs deck was full of pollen and so dirty we couldn’t sit out there. Wish there was an umbrella on top deck- no shade or cover when rains. Wish there was somewhere to put suitcases but w no closet space and no dresser tops, suitcases were all over floors. Was just hoping for a cleaner space for what we paid. Overall it was ok.

Last minute getaway
The location was great. Tucked in a cove. Very peaceful and great area to just float in lake to relax. Great for kids. The place however has not been maintained. Carpets are stained and dirty, appliances are old, kitchen is randomly stocked- sleeps 14 but only 4 coffee mugs, no wine glasses, measuring spoons, etc. Looks much nicer in photos than actually is. Dirty towels and sheets were under the stairs from last stay. Dishes were put up dirty with food in them and/or wet. Just overall dirty. Porch furniture was just randomly scattered.Had a hard time checking in. Called VRBO and never heard from management company. Was only able to access the property as the sliding back door was unlocked. Had to contact for check out instructions.
Typically, we would not post a negative review, however, because we addressed our concerns before we arrived and they were ignored we felt compelled to document our experience so that others would be aware of the condition of the property. Before we left for our vacation we read the latest reviews. They mentioned how dirty they found it! Proactively, we reached out to John, the PM, and asked him to rectify the issues. He reassured us that the property would be “professionally cleaned” and in good order. Unfortunately, the home was very dirty. The downstairs floor had a layer of dirt that was visible. The carpet in the downstairs was absolutely nasty. There were candy wrappers in various rooms. It didn’t appear that it was vacuumed before our arrival. In one of the beds the sheets had sand in them along with a used bandaid. The upstairs thermostat was not working properly, The grill was in terrible shape. The knobs were stripped, the gas line had a hole in it. There was so much grease in the grill that we had to shut it down and clean because the grease kept catching on fire. Our family was looking forward to our vacation. Our children and grandkids were coming from out of state to share this time with us. It was embarrassing and very disappointing - so much so we left early. It seems the owner, property manager, cleaning crew has lost sight of their responsibility to provide a positive experience for their guests.
