Good rooms but shortchanged.
We booked and paid for 2 chalets via hotels.com but were given standard rooms when we arrived the hotel. We were told by the hotel that chalets were fully booked with no form of refund or whatsoever.

It was amazing staying at this hotel. I had good encounters with Victoria Kwofie, Betty, Pepertual, Aba, George, and the Exe. Chef and all wonderful stay. Augusta, the Event Manageress was fantastic. I'll recommend to everyone. Every member of staff was terrific. Keep up the good work.

Had a wonderful stay at Best Western Atlantic Hotel in Takoradi, Ghana. My family and I were impressed with the courtesy and care of their staff. Room service was excellent. We plan on staying there anytime we visit Ghana. Highly recommended.

Disappointing stay.
Booked through Hotels.com to pay at hotel. At check in paid full amount. On checkout received a bill for a significant amount not for services provided but for increased room cost due to currency fluctuations affecting the dollar. Constant power failures thankfully short duration. Hotel policy for free Wi-Fi is to provide login details for a fixed period ie one day, or two days but not for the whole stay. Login turn a corner and login again. Login process timely and a lot of times not effective. Wi-Fi coverage woefully inadequate. If you are there on business get a phone with Ghana sim and plenty of data. The staff will and do respond but the standard reply seems to be “we have a challenge”. Breakfast reasonable provided you are willing to put up with soggy cold bacon and sausage. Electrical sockets might work.

The cleaners should make sure they remember to replace towels when they clean the room, particularly when new customers are moving in. Also we do state on our forms how many people will be using the room and so leaving out one towel is not the best

Nice adequate hotel for family or business
Best Western is a centrally located hotel. The staff were helpful. There are a couple of very nice pools at the hotel, but the nearby beach is NOT good, (it was far away walking and smelled) and you should not stay at this hotel if you're looking to spend time on a beach.
