"We were seeking an authentic bed and breakfast and this one exceeded our expectations. Bill and Eleanor are phenomenal hosts. They will stay up late for incoming guests who have problems with flights, etc., and are up every morning to provide a different, wonderful breakfast. BIll is a treasure trove of information and was spot on regarding places to visit and day trips to take. The rooms are beautiful, with character from the 1800s. "Lovely hotel. This was my second second stay and just as good as before. Complimentary breakfast was very nice and there is free hot drinks all day near reception. Walking distance to some restaurants & shops and a short drive to other attractions such as Roger Williams Park & Zoo. Staff are always happy & friendly. "

" I went there with relatively low expectations other than clean sheets. I was pleased with the room, in general. The bed was lumpy, higher in the middle, lower on the sides. There was a fat pillow & a thin pillow for choice. Not very comfortable for sleeping but clean. When I sat down at the desk, the seat of the chair was hardly there; it was missing the base, the frame was there, so I took one of the decor pillows & put it on the chair-problem fixed. "We stayed two nights. We found the hotel to be clean and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate. It isn't a fancy hotel and doesnt have all the amenities other pricier hotels do but we thought it was good for the price. The pool was not open yet but it looked nice and was pretty large. Hotel is located near many shops and restaurants. "
