Sedona Thunder Mountain Cottage is a light-filled, beautifully remodeled home nestled beneath the towering red rock formations of Thunder Mountain and Chimney Rock. With forest trails and the peaceful Amitabha Stupa just a short stroll away, and Sedona's vibrant shops, restaurants, theaters, and galleries only minutes from your door, this is the perfect home base for relaxation and adventure.

Professionally designed with soothing desert tones and modern touches, this single-level manufactured home offers 1,627 square feet of living space, a thoughtfully designed split bedroom floor plan, and accommodations for up to six guests.

Step inside and enjoy the open-concept great room, where vaulted ceilings and abundant natural light create a warm, inviting atmosphere that blends the living room, dining area, and kitchen into one harmonious space.

Living Room: The spacious living area features high ceilings, plush furnishings, a Smart TV, and ample natural light from the many surrounding windows — perfect for cozy movie nights or quiet morning coffee.

Kitchen: Create your favorite meals with ease in the fully equipped kitchen, featuring generous countertop space, stylish cabinetry, a full suite of appliances, and convenient bar seating. A rice cooker is also included for added versatility.

Dining Area: Share meals and good conversation around the dining table with seating for six, with additional seating available at the kitchen bar.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms:
Master – King bed, Smart TV, and private patio access with stunning red rock surroundings. The remodeled ensuite bath includes dual vanities, a soaking tub, and a spa-style shower with a rain shower head.
Bedroom 2 – Queen bed, Smart TV, outdoor access, and access to the shared full bath with a tub/shower combo.
Bedroom 3 – Two twin beds (convertible to a king upon request and $30 fee), Smart TV, and shared bath access.

Outdoor Areas:
Enjoy the breathtaking red rock scenery from the spacious front deck, ideal for morning coffee or evening stargazing. The private backyard offers a tranquil escape with lush landscaping and mature trees that create a serene and secluded retreat.

Laundry Room: Full-size washer and dryer, utility sink, and water softener for added comfort and convenience.

Parking: Covered two-car carport with additional driveway parking.

Air Conditioning: Central air conditioning to keep you cool and comfortable year-round.

The house was impeccable and so comfortable. I highly recommend this property. It had everything we could have asked for -- dishes, wine glasses, pots/pans -- shampoo/conditioner/lotion -- It even had bathrobes!! The location was perfect! Close to grocery stores (Whole Foods and Safeway) and restaurants. If we ever return to Sedona, I will definitely book this property again.

We enjoyed our stay in Sedona. Thunder Mountain Cottage was excellent. Kitchen had plenty of dishes and everything to prepare meals. The location was convenient to hiking and restaurants. We enjoyed the grill for cooking out and a nice soak in the tub at the end of the day. Read the contract before you pay. There is no cancellation and contract is quite specific and lengthy.

Great stay

Very nice home. Beautiful views and easy walk to some great trailheads and also the very serene Peace park. The home is in a great location, had lovely furnishings and an extra plus for including bathrobes. I don’t know why that makes me so happy but it does. lol. Home was very clean as well.

Perfect location

Had a great time in Sedona and the house was just what we needed, a clean place to land after hiking and enjoying the outdoors. The location is great for everything you need in Sedona and getting there is easy, no downtown traffic if you’re coming from phoenix!!!

Thunder mountain location

Very clean and organized place to stay. My wife was a little concerned about the local neighborhood, but I think it was safe. Very close to a great trail and having covered parking for our UTV was awesome.

This rental was clean. Plenty of room for our family of four and our lab. Nice welcome amenities. Well stocked kitchen. Lovely master bed/bath with upgraded fixtures and tub to soak in. Car port was nice to have. Close to everything in town but quiet. Would stay again.

Great location - super clean - larger than expected!

Spent a week with my two teen boys. West Sedona is great because you are in the thick of the traffic in Sedona. The house was extremely comfortable, spacious and had everything we needed, including a few extension cords! Highly recommend this location. My only complaint (and it is a small one) was that we tried to contact the rental agency during our stay and their answering service barely spoke English. Was difficult to explain our very minor issue in the house.

Impressive and Very Comfortable!

Due to flight delays, unfortunately, we were not able to check in until a day later. The property was close to the main drag and had every amenity we could ask for...well, except for a pool (but it was not a prerequisite). It was very clean and outside of getting the AC settings figured out a day later, we could not have chosen a better property. The housing instructions and expectations were communicated well. We did not even use the bedroom with the twin beds, but still had what we needed. We would certainly recommend this property for others while in Sedona.

Great first time in Sedona

Our family stayed here for thanksgiving. It was our first time in Sedona and we were very happy with the proximity of the house to everything from hiking, shopping, grocery stores, gas etc. We were a little sketched out all the windows in the kitchen and one in the living room was unlocked but we assumed it was just an accident and hadn't been checked. For utensils and cooking supplied this house ranks somewhere in the lower middle of the amount of supplies it has compared to others I've stayed at, so if you're looking to cook anything specific I would bring some of your own. Some of the dishes were a little dirty and had food on them so we ended up running most of them through the dishwasher and they were fine. I would say though we're a particularly clean group so some things bother us that wouldn't bother another person. The hot water ran out very quickly, only 2 of us could shower and then we had to wait a bit for it to heat up again. The layout of the house was nice and the table and bar area provided more than enough seating. The house does have cable so you don't have to rely on streaming services. This house is pet friendly and we did bring our 2 dogs, but you could never tell other dogs had stayed there as it was mostly clean. It had a nice front porch with a nice view. As a whole we would definitely stay here again.

Nice visit, but dog friendly?

The property was very close to what was pictured. The furniture a little more weathered. It was listed as dog friendly but after we made the reservation we found out there was a $250 Plus tax Plus we had to sign an agreement in agreement basically saying our pets would sit on the floor. There was no fenced area at all where the dogs could be outside. It was nice. Very clean and and well appointed But definitely not what I consider dog friendly.

Girlfriend getaway post covid

This was our first post vax trip 4 gals, to the magical place that is Sedona and we could not be happier with this rental. Others have posted to make you aware that this is a manufactured home community but it is one of the most spacious and well appointed rentals we have stayed in. From the moment you pull into the driveway, lovely landscaping and seating, Luxury through out, beautiful views from the front of thunder mountain, nicely appointed, pictures are accurate and we didn't need a thing. Sedona.org provided us with check instructions, and left a great binder of things to do and see. Not one complaint or glitch, highly recommend.
