Mayan Princess Hotel

"Staff were incredibly helpful and kind. Any short comings and concerns we conveyed to staff were dealt with swiftly. I can honestly say they did everything they could to look after us. Kitchen was super helpful as restaurants were getting expensive. The rooms were well layed out and clean. They had an information book in the room with pharmacy and emergency services as well as local attractions. Right on the water so you have a great view. Only thing is that the beach/swim area is very small and has lots of boats going through it so I never felt comfortable to go in the ocean there. This is of course outside of the hotels control but still made it so I had to go elsewhere for swimming. It's also super close to were the Carribean sprinter docks on San Pedro so take that one when traveling there. I had a great time here and would strongly recommend the Mayan Princess."

"We had a family of 8 adults and 2 children stay at the Villa Mandevilla and it was absolutely magical from start to finish. The house is located within a 15 minute ride to stores and restaurants. When we arrived at the spectacular mansion on the beach, we were greeted by our host and shown around the magnificent beach front property. The bedrooms are all large and comfortable with adjustable cooling so that everyone slept well. The kitchen is large enough for multiple cooks and is well equipped. Every part of the house was enjoyed during our trip...the rooftop was a perfect place for a quiet read and a lovely happy hour. The pool and cabana were great for cooling off and relaxing with a lovely beach view and the dock was a great place for morning coffee.Overall, this was the perfect place to stay for our Belize vacation. Cora and Johnny made every part of the trip so special. Memories made to last a lifetime! Can't wait to go back!!"

"I don't know why this place has so many bad reviews. I recently stayed here and had a really good experience. The staff were very friendly and room was very well cleaned. The only issue I noticed was the noise but I went there during the lobster fest and the lobster fest happens right outside the hotel, directly across from it on the other street. The other similar issue reported by people has been the ocean views. I feel like some of the photos are deceiving, but from where this hotel is located at, you can't really see the ocean from the rooms. Wi-Fi was decent, and the staff were very accommodating along with the golf cart rentals being reasonably priced. If you're looking for a place in the heart of downtown San Pedro, this is a good affordable spot. Don't expect nothing five star as the price reflects that obviously but it's not a terrible spot like most reviews on here are claiming."
