Very nicely located in a quiet Ballard neighborhood. Pleasant walk to several coffee shops. We have already reserved this space for our next visit to the area in September.

Just right for a couple!
We have stayed twice at this small but well appointed apartment located in a very pleasant Ballard neighborhood. It is perfectly designed for a couple. Short drive or walk to parks and local shopping. We hope to stay there again when visiting our family.

Close and Comfortable
It was great to find a clean and well appointed apartment close to where I was visiting family in Merrill Gardens
Overall, the stay was great. Only complaint was noise upstairs in the evening even though the paper work said quiet time after 8pm. Did not bother us.. just an observation. Enjoyed the stay and location.
Pictures and description are accurate. Unit was clean. Easy access and good communication with property manager.

Basic but comfy
Nice and clean, cool, and private. Street parking easily available in the neighborhood. Super pretty area with lots of trees and an easy walk to Ballard. I will say there is ZERO insulation from noises above. You can hear every footstep and the kids playing, screaming, and rolling/banging toys around almost non-stop. This wasn’t a big deal for us as we were just there for a place to crash after a late night show. It was very quiet and peaceful overnight. Just be prepared for lots of noise starting in the morning and into the evening. Overall other than that it was a very nice stay.
I am giving three stars and not four or higher, due to two issues. First, the bed was very uncomfortable. The mattress was very old and worn out; coupled with cheap bedding, made for poor rest and stiff backs. A comfortable bed makes a significant difference in a property. An otherwise good property, like this one, falls by at least a star, and an otherwise mediocre/bad property is elevated by at least a star when your guests are content with the bed. The bed is the spot where guests spend the bulk of their time during the stay after all. Second and much less of an issue, the noise from upstairs. Since other reviews mention the noise, we were prepared for it, but 7:00 AM is still a bit early to be woken up. There was an issue with a dying battery in a smoke alarm that kept chirping, but it was resolved a few hours after I gave notice, and while we were out. Overall, I would still recommend this property given all the positives. Just spend some money on upgrading the mattress and bedding.

Nice place in a quiet neighborhood
Ballard is often very busy on the weekends and this place is a walkable distance from everything. The neighborhood is very peaceful and nice to walk around in.

Bliss in Ballard
The location was great, lovely neighborhood for the fall and Halloween season. Oh, and loved the bed!
It is a lovely street in Ballard which is exactly what I was looking for. Easy access into the room with outdoor lighting for the evening.

Fun in Ballard
This studio was very well located, central to great coffee and food. The owner was extremely friendly. Opportunities are provide coffee & tea. I didn’t pack a hair dryer because most of the places we have stayed, have one, so remember to pack one. We really enjoyed ourselves and would stay again.
Overall, it was a good stay. Floors were slightly dirty when we arrived but not bad. There was no Kleenex in the studio. We did lose power in the middle of the 49er/Seattle game when we were relaxing on Sunday, but had to leave because it was dark and getting cold. Power was restored later in the evening when we came back.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Advertised laundry available-it was notVery noisy from 7am or earlier, children running and screaming. Air conditioner set very cold, we froze!Backyard very unpleasant, overgrown and messy, dirty table and chairs. Clock needs a battery. Shower very slippery could use a mat. Instructions for working the stove would be handy. I never did figure it out. Needs some bowls!! TV would not take our login info. It was a comfortable sleep. Except for the temperature the rooms were comfortable. We won’t rent this one again.
It was perfect for me and my little Chihuahua. Had to keep the heat going as it was a basement unit and it was particularly cold in Seattle that weekend but it was a small unit that heated up quickly. Also, plenty of hot water and a nice shower. Would stay there again!

On arrival and the stove and heater didn't work. Probably not to code. Microwave never worked. Bed soft. Tiny unit I couldn't barely lay out a yoga mat. Kids in the morning was kind of nice to hear the foot prints. The heating system was horrible. The place was constantly too hot. The heat is primarily controlled by the leasing people upstairs. There are a couple space heaters if you're cold and make it even hotter. I wouldn't Stay there again but I'm no regular at the RV. Towels brand new and not very good. Only two. Floor not level with little steps be careful don't slip our trip. Super cheap lights are glaring. I'm exceptionally disappointed with the Vacasa. It used to be nice when you have a property manager nearby you can talk to you
Property was well kept. The only problem one might have is it was a little noisy. There are people living upstairs with little children. It was not a problem for us but might be for someone that needed complete quiet.
Ballard Basement: yes, it's cute and clean, but it's very loud.
The pro's: the check-in process was very easy and Vacasa communicates effectively with customers via email. They were also helpful on the telephone when I called requesting instructions to lock the digital doorlock when I went out. Also, the neighborhood is very nice; it's in the Ballard / Sunset Hill area on a quiet street and a little off the beaten path. It's only a 5 min. drive or 20 min. walk to NW Market St. restaurants and shops. The small kitchen is new and the apartment was tidy when we checked in. Only the shower could have used a more thorough rinsing but, otherwise, very clean.
The con's: this is not a "first floor" apartment as the description states, but rather a section of the basement remodeled behind and underneath the main home, and one enters through a door under a porch. The backyard is strewn with kid's toys and not very well maintained. Now about the kids; there must be a rodeo upstairs because the kids run and scream several times per day and in the evening. And they are loud. Also, a barking puppy in the basement right behind one of the lock doors, so we got to enjoy that for a while, too (not). This is a money-maker for the owners, and too bad for the guests trying to work or sleep. We stayed here out of necessity and appreciate the availability, but for $500+ for 3 nights I cannot recommend this VRBO. The noise and stomping was terrible. It's not subtle, it's loud. We won't return.
