Stayed at this location the night before an early morning flight. Was assured there would be 24 hour shuttle service. Upon check-in, I was told there was shuttle service for the time we needed. However, once we got downstairs to the lobby at 4am, there was a sign that said no shuttle and there was no one at the desk to assist. Ended up ordering an Uber. Lobby area seems to be in disrepair, and falling apart. One of the elevators was broken.

Things we liked: The front desk person was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious. I liked that there were two bed side tables, lots of plugs and USB ports, clean bathroom and comfy bed. The breakfast was good (bagels, toast, cheerios, oatmeal, waffle maker, apples and oranges. Some juice options, etc), convenient parking. The airport and several eating establishments were in walking distance. Things that could have been better: several things were broken, one elevator, the scale, a juice machine. Not a majorly big deal. Just seemed like things may not be dealt with quickly there. As one elevator was broken, we opted to take the stairs to our 6th floor room. The stairwell was quite disgusting. It had a strong odor of urine, must and who knows what else. It was littered with trash. We ended up choosing to wait for the only working elevator to avoid the stench. The hotel has great bones. But could use a little more attention to detail.

One of the elevators was broken down and the annual inspection document in the elevator had the date ripped off! There was a very unpleasant woman that checked us in. Didn’t tell us about the continental breakfast and didn’t know how many nights we were staying for. We had to ask for a parking “permit” and she said are you staying more than one night? Well YES, you just checked us in! Room was ok. There was a worker outside smoking a cigarette at the entrance for what seemed like her entire lunch period, as she was there when we arrived and still there when we left for dinner after we took our bags to the room. Smoking should be designated somewhere that is NOT the main entrance of the building… it was disgusting. The area and the whole vibe was creepy. The only saving grace for this place was the very kind older gentleman that was working on the second night of our stay… the rest- this place is a joke.

Neither La Quinta nor Expedia notified us (or any potential customers) that the hotel was undergoing a major renovation. The pool(?) looked like a swamp with dirty water and multiple leaves and other fallen debris. The furniture was tattered, torn and soiled. We informed the desk clerk (who we had to locate) that we were not going to stay and wanted to cancel. We contacted Expedia too and after their finally getting someone, the clerk said it was cancelled and the manager(?) had refunded us thru Expedia. Turned out that was a lie. Expedia wants to give us some “reward points” stating we can’t get a refund per contract, but when a hotel doesn’t disclose the poor conditions of their property, the “contract” should be null and void. Like paying for a new Rolls Royce and getting a junk car without a motor. PLEASE!!!! Someone needs to fix this and not allow substandard hotels hide their condition thru online pictures taken years ago. Noticed the POOL picture was not part of the pictures they display on line, let them include the one “I” took…..
