"To anyone considering renting this property, please understand the following: while this cottage is on the water, THERE IS NO ACCESS TO THE BEACH, despite the listing pictures which show the beach and a dock for tenant's use, and the listing details stating: private stairs to beach and use of private dock. "This was a first trip to Maine and we were unfamiliar with the area and not sure what to expect. We enjoyed the drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor. I wish we had more time to spend in Belfast. The downtown area is so cute and we loved the local brewery! If I had it to do over again, I would have skipped Bar Harbor and stayed right in Belfast. I definitely recommend this property. "A charming old camp on a wonderful lake. The porch is a slice of heaven. The main living space is spacious and cozy, with lots of areas to tuck in, read a book, do a puzzle, and comfortably gather.
