"I have a service dog, I contacted the hotel when I made the reservation and provided the required information. At checkout in the staff did not want to check me in because they are not a pet friendly hotel. I stated my dog was a service dog, and told them it was preapproved, but I still got attitude for having a dog. When I got to the room, it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months, the sink was so nasty it had what looked like food or something from someone teeth and mouth, hair all over the sink and in the sink, not just stray hair either. The floors were very dirty, it was obvious they had not been sweeper or moped in a very long time. There were spots on the floor from were something had been spilt and never cleaned. It felt like I was given the dirtiest room because I had a service dog. I have stayed in some questionable places, but this has been the absolute worst. No customer service at all."

"Such a lovely home on Lake Bowen! Everything was so well appointed, brand new, and very clean. The furniture was so comfortable we checked the brand to add one of those chairs to our house! The back of the house looks right out on the lake with floor-to-ceiling windows. Two living rooms both with TVs. We caught fish right off the dock with the poles and lures from the house. We didn't have time to get out on the water but the host provides self powered water craft. It looks like the house is situated on the lake in a low wake zone, so we didn't see speedboats zooming by. We stayed here while watching a theee day horse show at Tryon International Equestrian Center - a 20 min drive. And it is convenient to Spartanburg. A great house!"

"This location was quite peaceful. Inside was clean and well organized and thoughtful designed. It was cozy, tranquil equipped with just what we needed after a long day hiking. The shower was roomy for my 6’ husband with plenty of hot water the bed was comfortable neither too hard or too soft just relaxing. Would not hesitate to stay again host was easy to communicate with and ready to help if needed. "
