You must have a car or use taxi/uber as there are no paved areas on the roads surrounding the hotel and walking is perilous. "

"It was very central for the town of Funchal. The room had everything and the lady on reception was very very helpful and friendly. The cooked breakfast could have been warmer and the restaurant kept odd hours and didn't feel like it was part of the hotel. As you are in the heart of the town you have to expect noise at night from residents living nearby"

We had the buffet one night and it was also good. Free shuttle service to Funchal seafront included. We plan to return! "
