This stunning lakefront log cabin, located in one of the best areas on Barren River Lake, makes for a wonderful vacation rental home. Mammoth Cave National Park and the General Motors Corvette Museum are only 30 minutes away.

It offers the perfect retreat experience with lake views, five bedrooms, and four and a half baths. A bonus loft area is on the second story. The eat-in kitchen features granite countertops and all stainless steel appliances, including a warmer.

A large main floor deck & lower level patio overlook the lake and are perfect for entertaining. The cozy living space is highlighted by a large stone gas fireplace and large windows for viewing the outdoors.

The master suite on the main floor and second floor both offer plenty of privacy and comfort.

The lower level walkout basement area includes a bedroom with a full bath and a game room with a pool table, ping pong table, foosball table, and a hot tub located steps outside the basement door. For those looking for a lake getaway or a family get-together, this is the property for you!

This is the nicest cabin we’ve ever stayed in. It is very clean and stocked with everything you could need. The view is very nice as well. My only caveat is if you are bringing a boat, just know parking is limited. We did manage to fit a truck pulling a boat along with 3 other cars but that’s the max. It worked for us but just beware how many guests you invite. Still, it’s a 5 star!

Great place for a group!
We had a family group of 14, 6 adults and 8 children 2-12. There was plenty of space for everyone and the kids had plenty to do. The game room is a nice area and there really is something for everyone. The state park nearby has a nice free, public beach and the nearby attractions are easy to get to. The vaulted ceiling does make it a bit hard to watch tv on both levels, but that wasn’t why we went, so didn’t matter a lot to us. Very nice spot and so nice to not have to eat out for every meal.

Our extended family (7 adults and 4 children) wanted to spend time together and we really enjoyed the property. This is a beautiful home with very nice appliances, outdoor grill, large eating and gathering spaces. We enjoyed the lower level game room. The house was large enough for each family to have their own space. We visited Mammoth Cave, Paradise Point, Kenny’s Farmhouse Cheese and the Barron River State park. There is a Dollar General nearby but it is very worthwhile to drive to the very friendly Food Lion in Scottsville.

The cabin was great, it had everything you needed. The game room was really fun and nice. The cabin was clean and well maintained. It was located close to the Marina and beach and fishing access. The only thing you couldn’t see the lake very well because of the trees.

The proper manager was quick to respond, courteous, & friendly. The cabin was absolutely gorgeous. It was very spacious and decorated adorably. The game room was a major crowd pleaser. We spent a lot of time in there (unfortunately it rained the entire time we were there). We all loved the cabin and would consider staying again. The minuses are that it’s not soundproof. You could hear everyone moving around from the bottom floor to the third floor which makes trying to go to sleep a little difficult. Whoever does the cleaning needs to up their game. We had a decided to cook a Saturday family meal. All burners on the stove were dirty, with grease in every burner pan, so I had to clean them, not ideal for a weekend getaway. Most of the utensils were greasy or had small bits food on them. I’m assuming the food was a dishwasher issue, but nonetheless, not good. When we went to load the dishwasher as requested it was full and had to unload before we could load our dishes. My daughter & her husband found hair and fuzz their tub, so they didn’t use it. The rest of the place was pretty clean. We really didn’t have a view of the lake because the trees had grown so much there was only one small area to see the lake. That was a bummer. We were going to go kayaking, but instead of two kayaks there was only one so we didn’t do that either. Seclusion, privacy, peaceful, family time, it was great. The cabin was great for our whole family of 4 families. We all had a comfortable and clean place to sleep. Only downsides was that there wasn’t any room for kids to play in the yard, no direct access to water for fishing and fire pit area wasn’t very disable but again the house was fantastic and we did enjoy the entertainment room in the basement a ton!

Attentive Hosts
Had a good experience overall. Host was very attentive to a couple hiccups we had during our stay, which was a big help. Place has plenty of areas for kids and parents to have their own space when needed, and large group areas for everyone to be together. Kids loved the game room area, while parents enjoyed the open living room/kitchen areas. We were able to have 6 kids eating at the island at the same time while the 6 adults had room to spare at the dining table. We had 3 familys of 4 and the house accommodated our needs perfectly. Plenty of outdoor type activities all within 10-15 minute drive.

The website description is a little off because new owners took over. The hot tub was waiting on a part, so we didn't get to use it and was refunded some money back. The cabin is beautiful with plenty of games and activities to keep you entertained on a rainy day.

Perfect Cabin Weekend
My friends and I rented out the Cozy Cabin due to its size, location, and amenities. The owners were incredibly thoughtful and thorough with their check-in instructions, amenity descriptions, and suggestions for what to do during our stay. The cabin itself had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The game room gave us plenty to do, and the space as a whole was just perfect for a larger group (we had 8 and everyone had their own bed). I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a cozy feel and a unique space!

Gorgeous home with so much space!
This house was perfect for our family getaway. The game room downstairs kept the kids busy, the kitchen was great for preparing meals, and the beds were so comfy. Even though it was cold outside we enjoyed this house, I'm sure it's even more fun in the summer!

A great way to start the New Year
This cabin is such a terrific find! Our family takes a trip every New Year to a different location and this one definitely did not disappoint! There were 8 adults in our group and 2 littles under 4 and there was more than enough space for all of us. There are 2 living room spaces, one upstairs and one down on the main level so plently of places for a large group to spread out. The kitchen was one of the best stocked kitchens we’ve encountered. There were pots large enough for soups and anything in between, cutting boards, strainers, baking sheets, all the things. They even have a crockpot and a Keurig as well as a traditional coffee maker. As a group that enjoys cooking together on trips this kitchen was wonderful! The scenery of the location was beautiful and it was a perfect middle ground for many attractions so we found something to do almost everyday and for the days we stayed in, the pool table, ping pong, and foosball tables kept us entertained. They even have board games and books for children available to enjoy. Communication with the owners was excellent and prompt as well. The only thing that we would recommend to make this cabin even better, would be direct access to the lake from the property. Overall we loved the week we spent here and look forward to returning hopefully during the summer.

Mothers birthday weekend
Our immediate family takes a long weekend trip every December to celebrate our mother’s birthday. This place was amazing! The game room was a big hit but would be great if the lower level had a couch to lounge on. The house has an incredible view and open floor plan creating great gathering area for the family to hang out. We played a big game of family bingo which we have never done but will be making a new tradition of. The house was pet friendly so our fur family was able to enjoy the get away as well! I would HIGHLY recommend this cabin.
