"It’s always nice to stay at the Alpine. The rooms are clean and the beds super comfortable but the lack of staff is a drag. I stayed two nights and on the second could not locate my room key number. I sat in the car at 11 pm trying to find it in my email. It took 30 minutes before I finally found it. I wish there was a number to call but I tried that on another stay and didn’t get an answer until the next day. Nevertheless this is a nice place to stay"

"Perfect location. Amazing view. Fully stocked kitchen, allowing us to cook more than eating out, though options for that certainly are available. Hague is quite north compared to the more populated portions of the lake. We really enjoyed the rustic vibe of this part of the lake! People are incredibly friendly and the public beach nearby was the perfect place to relax and swim. We came up from Maryland to visit and would have brought our boat if it had actually made sense. So simply rented instead. The staff could not have be nicer or made the rental process more convenient. We plan to return!"

Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed two of the three days we were there however the nightly price increased each day. "A lovely cabin recently rebuilt with a great lake view. We needed a dish drainer, but otherwise the kitchen had good supplies for simple meals. An intersting bed frame 31" high, difficult for short people to get in, comfortable though. The sofa bed was comfortable, and the sceens for the windows good for blocking out light. There is a wonderful lake side deck with nice chairs and a fire pit. Also kayaks and canoe. And the loons!!"
