Cute little cabin fully stocked with everything you might need. Nice little town with shops, restaurants and a Tops grocery store 5 min away. Definitely would stay again.
Beautifully furnished cottage with all you need for a comfortable overnight. Propane fireplace and a comfortable couch make it a perfect after-ski spot.
The owner of the property was excellent to communicate with. Her messages and notes about the property were clear. We found the house to be clean and unique. The views were cool too! We will be back!
Charming little cabin. Well stocked. Little trail down to the river right in front with a pool for the kids to play in. Highly recommend for quick and easy getaway from the capital.
My partner and I had a wonderful visit to the cottage to celebrate his birthday weekend! The cottage was absolutely lovely with so many windows to enjoy the incredible snowy views. The bed was so comfy (that's a must when I'm traveling!), and the fireplace was such a nice, cozy addition. Leslie was very responsive with communication. All in all a wonderful property and host!
My husband, our dog, and I had a perfect ski vacation. We got so much snow, someone had shoveled us out by sunrise so we could still make it to Gore bright and early. We would definitely come back again!
We loved the cottage from the moment we pulled into the driveway. The location was ideal. The interior of the cottage was warmly decorated. It was clear that the owners have an eye for detail and a gift for creating such a cozy and welcoming place. There was plenty of room to cook and relax. We hope to visit again. Thank you.
Really cute cottage for 2 (3 would be pushing it unless your child) at a great location. Right on the river for immediate walking/running, & close to Gore for alpine & nordic & minutes from town for shopping/restaurants. We snowshoed 3 beautiful trails, all within an hours drive and didn't see a soul. Downsides were that you had to shower quickly or you ran out of hot water and the furniture is older than me & I'm 66
This place was amazing! Everything you need to decompress and just be. We really enjoyed sitting by the river and listening to our surroundings. Everything inside and out was perfect. The only thing that could've made our stay out this world would been a outdoor fire pit. Again this place is perfect.
The perfect rental for ski weekend. Great interior decor, cozy sitting area by the gas fireplace and full kitchen. Can’t beat the conveniences to the ski bowl Nordic trails and Gore MT. post ski happy hour at north creek pubs within 5 minute drive. Host was easy to contact but there was nothing that came up that needed attention. What a find!!!!
We loved this cabin! No TV which I guess I did not realize but it really just made this adorable place even more cozy. Very convenient to Gore Mountain which was our goal. Close to town. It was below zero when there or we may have walked to North Creek. We'd love to come back this spring or summer. Highly recommend.

Cozy, private, well-maintained cabin 5 minutes from Gore Mountain. Beautiful views of the river right across the street. Very comfortable for 3 people with one Queen in the bedroom and one twin bed in an alcove. Cute little gas fireplace in living room. Full kitchen was nice with drip coffee maker, stove, toaster, microwave. No TV or dishwasher which didn’t matter to us on our short visit. Entrance to house was very icy and slippery. The host warned us of this and tried to remedy it the day after check-in. Overall a very nice stay and would like to return in warmer weather to enjoy the river and other local amenities.
Loved the cabin and the location across from the River is beautiful. The walkway to the door was a thick layer layer of ice that somewhat melted during the day but then refroze. The product provided to put down only melted it slightly resulting in a thin layer of water over the ice. The steps could use a handrail.
What an amazing cottage to stay for a few days! Located on a quiet road on the shore of Hudson river just across the river (3 min drive) from the community of North Creek. And what a little hidden gem this place is! With nice grocery store, its own glass blowing studio, cute antique shop, upscale clothes boutique, coffee shop and restaurant and bar... and the most AMAZING mosaic wall that is in Guinness book of records - The North Creek Mozaic Project that is worth coming to North Creek by itself! Also - location is just 30 min drive from Lake George (has beautiful lakefront park with a beach and it's own distillery), Tupper Lake and 13th Lake, and couple old garnet mines that are open to visitors, cross country ski and snowshoe camp, etc, etc.
And the cottage itself is AMAZING! The owner - Leslie spent a lot of time, money and thought making it so comfortable for the guests! Beautifully organized and decorated kitchen - with gas stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, tea kettle, beautiful crystal wine glassed, ceramic tableware in beautiful pastel colors; gas fireplace in cozy sitting area, very comfortable bed in bedroom with plenty of space for the luggage, additional bed in living space, lots of books on bookshelf, great bathroom with claw foot tub!
Overall - 10/10 - would love to come back!!!!!
Cabin was perfect in every way: clean, comfortable, quiet. Kitchen is well stocked, bed was comfortable. We did use the gas fireplace and it warmed up the room very well. This is our 5th year staying at Leslie’s and the first time in this cabin. We will return again!
