Affordable Vacation Home Near Acadia National Park

"A delightful property in a lovely location very convenient for Acadia and Bar Harbor andwithout the crazy price tag! Bobbie was a pleasure to deal with aaaanndd very responsive. The house is cute and comfortable, the heating works very well - even though we hardly needed it with a lucky Fall week. Lots of hot water and a very well equipped (if somewhat dated) kitchen, even though we didn't do any cooking! The restaurant at the end of the drive, Seafood Ketch, is very good and extremely reasonably priced. Excellent clam chowder and great lobster dishes and a small but very reasonably priced wine list that doesn't create sticker shock for mediocrity! The fried clam dinner was enormous and the lobster seafood casserole is worth going back for again!Altogether a great find and we all enjoyed the stay."

"I enjoyed a lot staying at this place so I would definitely come back here in the future since it’s close to Acadia National Park and plenty of Restaurants. Also the host was excellent since day one and the cabin was super clean and cozy. Highly recommend Lighthouse cabins!! You’re gonna love it!"

"We had an incredible stay at this wonderful home while visiting Acadia in early october. The property has everything you could need across two levels of living space, and everything was in great and working condition. Checkin was a breeze and the host is extremely responsive. The views from the firepit out across the water are incredible - even watched a heron fishing one day at sunset. The property is wonderfully isolated at the end of a forest road with trees screening either side - we never saw or heard the neighbors, making it a great retreat from the Acadia crowds. Several great restaurants in easy driving distance and a well-equipped kitchen (and bonus outdoor kitchen in screened porch!) for entertaining. We've stayed at many VRBOs over the years, and this is among the very best."

"The property was very clean and the extra treats and bath items were a plus. The view can not be beat! We spent the whole evening enjoying the sunset and the lapping waves on the shoreline. It is in need of some updating."

"We have stayed at Paul's Cottage several times over the past few years and are always so grateful for the experience. The setting is beautiful and the sunsets over the water are among the most beautiful we have ever seen. On a more practical level, the cottage is clean and comfortable, the kitchen is fully stocked, and if you need anything, Kathleen and Jay are there ready to help. We have already booked our next visit next summer. Five stars in every way!"

"Very nice property that hosted 5 of us very comfortably. The host is great with communication and has clear instructions for check in / check out. The yard is great with plenty of firewood to keep a great campfire and stare at the wonderful starry sky. Close to nearby towns and the national park. Highly recommend!"
