I loved the vintage feel of the hotel. The free donuts and coffee in the morning were a big plus! We brought my dog and she enjoyed walking around the dog walk area. Would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were clean and bright. The beds were comfortable and the RC Cola and mini moonpies were a lovely touch. It is an older, retro building so there is outside noise but it's a great spot for a short stay.

This property was retro. The staff was amazing and very friendly. They were able to offer an amazing dining option as well. They have a cute little pet area and a decent pet fee. If ever in Savannah, we will stay there again. Oh and dont forget the RC Cola and Moonpies.

Staff are great and super nice! Room is clean but the shower leaked water out because the part that was suppose to contain the water is super shallow and the shower curtain was short so water just leaked out into the toilet area.

The Thunderbird Inn's good times are long gone, as the property is in a very run-down condition. The website boasts of being one of the top 10 retro hotels in the USA, but this award dates back to 2014 and is therefore already outdated. While the Thunderbird Inn may have been very attractive years ago and a positive departure from many traditional US motels, I would not currently book this property and therefore would not recommend it to anyone.

Best part is the staff and easy walk to dining and the riverwalk. However it is noisy as it is close to the highway and the room was a little mildewy. Could use a little upkeep in the bathroom, dirty vent and cracked tiles. Beware the $25 fee for parking and $50 for pets!

The Retro feel, Felt like we went back in time with the style of the motel. Loved the free donuts & coffee every day. Staff was super friendly & helpful during our stay. The only reason I gave 4 stars is that the key machine was broken while we were there.
