"We stayed at this property over Memorial Day weekend. While the home is charming and in a nice location, our experience was deeply disappointing and disturbing.Shortly after arrival, we noticed the house wasn’t very clean. By the next morning, ants had gotten into our breakfast—which we politely overlooked, hoping to still enjoy our trip.Unfortunately, things got much worse. Several members of our family developed bites and rashes, which have persisted even two weeks later. As a healthcare provider, I can confidently say these were bed bug bites. The idea that we were unknowingly ravished by bed bugs is absolutely mortifying.Out of courtesy for the next guest, we informed the host—not to ask for a refund, but to help prevent others from having the same experience. We were told the rashes were from the hot tub, which we supposedly weren’t allowed to use—despite having text messages from the host inviting us to enjoy it. Not only was our concern dismissed, but I felt insulted by the response and lack of accountability.We’ve stayed in many rentals and have never been so grossed out or disappointed. No one should leave a vacation still itching weeks later and feeling disrespected after trying to do the right thing. This property may look nice, but cleanliness, pest control, and professional communication were sorely lacking."
