Cottage By the Sea is a (no smoking) Unit within the charming Sea Pirate condo complex located on a tranquil and desirable stretch of Gulf Drive in Holmes Beach, Florida. It is tucked away right across the street (less than 100 ft.) from the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico and the expansive uncrowded and unspoiled white sands of Holmes beach.

This completely renovated, and beautifully decorated unit with new furniture and linens for the bedrooms, ceramic tile floors, and a new kitchen, new appliances, has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom and can accommodate comfortably five guests; sorry no pets allowed. Master bedroom has king size bed with Smart TV. In the 2nd bedroom, also with Smart TV, are 3 twin size beds.
The spacious living room is furnished with 2 leather sofas, and also has a Smart TV.

Amenities include dishes, cook ware, utensils, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, on-site coin operated laundry, linens, central air conditioning/heat, free cable TV, free Wi-Fi, BBQ grill, a spacious private (gated) patio to soak in more sunshine, and relaxation and for al fresco dining. A refreshing dip in the large, heated pool is just steps from your front door. One parking space is assigned to the unit, second car can be parked right behind or in a guest spot.

Cottage By the Sea is within walking distance to shopping and restaurants where you'll find a full grocery store, pharmacy, beach shops, and restaurants - you can shop for souvenir items of choice and have dinner at any of the restaurants or you can take a sightseeing tour around Anna Maria Island on the free trolley making stops on the north side up to the historic Anna Maria Pier and southwards down to the historic Bridge Street in Bradenton Beach and further down to the Coquina Beach.

AMI Girls Trip

Excellent location. Right next to the beach. Yes there is a road in between. However it’s close. Do not let that deter you. Condo was great all redone. Excellent amenities. This unit is located right next to the pool. Which is great for kids

Perfect place right next to the beach!

My now husband and I stayed here on the week he proposed. So, it will always be one of my favorite places.<3 The condo was super cute and comfortable, had everything we needed. The pool is right next to this condo unit. We enjoyed meeting the other families staying there.

Home away from home!

Patio is relaxing and you can visits with your neighbors easily if you choose. Unit well stocked and so cozy. Nice and quiet when you sleep and felt very safe.

Anna's place was outstanding in amenities and location. The unit has everything you need. We even cooked out on the grill and enjoyed the pool area. As always, we appreciated access to the beach area being so near and also shopping and restaurants. You won't go wrong by booking this beautiful unit.

Our Favorite Island Getaway

This was our family's 3rd time spending the Christmas holiday at Sea Pirate #8 on AMI. We were not disappointed! The cozy cottage has everything we needed to feel at home. It is great to have beach access right across the street and be able to walk to Publix, shopping, and restaurants. Only a few other visitors were in the other units so our stay felt very quiet and private, which was nice. We will definitely be making plans to return in 2024!

Great host, location, and accommodations

The property was really great and the host superb. We were staying there the week of Hurricane Helene, and unfortunately were required to evacuate after just a few days into our stay. The host was so amazingly gracious and helpful! She gave us regular updates as to the status of the hurricane, and when the emergency order came to evacuate, she notified us to make sure we were aware. She graciously gave us a 100% refund due to the extenuating circumstances. I'm sad to think that the place we stayed at probably got battered pretty badly during the storm surge of the hurricane. I hope they are able to rebuild and continue to offer this great Vrbo.

1st Wedding Anniversary

We love AMI. The heads up on the pool being out of service and the choice of full cancellation or the partial refund was appreciated. However, we were not informed that our unit was right beside the pool and that workers would be running gas powered water pumps and jack hammers starting early in the mornings.This was right behind the livingroom and master bedroom walls and made late sleep in and day time relaxing on the patio impossible. If this unit was located anywhere else on the property this would have not been an issue. We did meet two of the property owners of other units during our stay and they were terrific people. I was told that the owners of our unit are too. By most appearances of the property, we can see the pride they take in their property and the desire to have happy tnents. The only suggestion is to please clean better under the king bed in the master. In my final inspection I found several pills lost by previous tenants and quite a bit of dust and dirt bunnys hiding out there. Overall, when the pool is repaired I'm sure we will be coming back to this location and will have the perfect experiance. Thank You.
